I would use slip rings to tie existing cable to prop motor support shaft and mount transducer to motor housing. 'slip ring'--metal ring a little bigger than shaft with a nipple the size of the cable. OR call the bird at 1-800-633-1468 or www.humminbird.com/Category/Company/Contact-Us/ and use some southern/country slang when talking. Best of luck 'you all'.

SOURCE: Converting From 12/24 to Starght 24 Volt

if it is 24v. then you need to connect 2 battery in parallel. since the battery is only 12v.
if one battery is shoing red and the other is sohwing green, that means you are using 12v only, not the 24v.
connetion as follow:
positve of battery 1 to the motor, the negative of battery 1 to postive of battery 2. the negative of battery 2 to the motor.

SOURCE: Mounting a sonor/transducer on a MinnKota Riptide ST

Did the unit come with a strap to mount the transducer to a bow mount electric? Most units do... If not there is probably one available for the unit as an aftermarket accessory or accessory from the manufacturer... Regarding the transducer wire, just wrap and rout this up the front of the bow mount motor shaft so when you pull the motor up and secure it, it is not going to get in the way. You could cable tie the cord down near the bottom of the shaft and one up near the top where they wont interfere with the motor bracket when the motor is positioned up on the boat.

SOURCE: Replacement of motorguide trolling motor prop

Motor Guide hubs come in two different sizes - 3" and 3.5". The 3" size is more for older and lower thrust models. Newer units use the 3.5. The size differences are between manufacturers too. MinnKota's are a little bigger. If you order a new prop, the only issue may be the depth of the prop. I had to use a longer prop nut wrench to tighten the Hydrilla Hacker I purchased.

Motorguide Pro series 4300. Has power to the plug but won't spin. Does it need to be in the vertical position to run?

Dodging the answer, here is the contact number of motorguide for support; https://www.motorguide.com/us/en/contact-support.html

MotorGuide Technical Service:
United States/Canada: (920) 929-5040

or use the form on the above page to contact them. A sheared pin, a low setting on the speed control, or a breaker problem all can cause failure to spin. https://www.boats.net/catalog/motorguide/trolling-motor/motorguide-pro-series/complete-trolling-motor-model-mp4300-12-volt

Need upper control housing diagram for 2009 Motorguide Varimax Great White trolling motor. The motor only runs in reverse, whether I push the handle forward or pull it back.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Motorguide Varimax Great White trolling motor. Here is a diagram of the upper control housing for the 2009 model that may be helpful:
  1. Control housing assembly
  2. Tilt tube assembly
  3. Steering shaft assembly
  4. Tension spring
  5. Speed control knob
  6. Directional indicator
  7. Steering handle assembly
Regarding the issue with the motor only running in reverse, it is possible that there is a problem with the control housing assembly or the wiring connections to the motor. You may want to inspect the wiring and connections for any signs of damage or corrosion. If you are unable to identify the issue or make the necessary repairs, you may want to consider taking the trolling motor to a Motorguide service center for professional diagnosis and repair.

Recently purchased a used 74# Maxxum 24 volt trolling motor to replace the 46# MotorGuide I had. It doesn't seem to be getting enough power it runs slower than the 46# Motorguide. Positive from motor to...

sound like either voltage drop or hi resistance from cables... if you test 24v at the plug then resistance is the problem and may have to rewire to a 6ga wire to carry the load, pretty simple just hook the new cable to the old one and SLOWLY pull it thru, help may be required because you dont want to loose it half way.....hope this helps...GL

Trolling motor will not spin with out being turned by hand.

Take the prop off and make sure the pin that goes through the shaft is in place. The prop could also not be sitting on the pin proper.
