My Kobo Arc 32, asked for a password, when I tried to try the WiFi. I don't remember setting a password. So, now it's asking for an guest password.

It is not the Kobo that has set the password, rather the router for the wifi that you are trying to connect to. You just need to know the password for the router to let you connect. If a router has no wifi password, it is considered unsecured and ANYONE can access it. So most all routers use password protection. If it is YOUR wifi system, and you no longer know the password, you can change it if you access the router setup for wireless and change the password. Be advised, however, that all devices that connect to the wifi will need to change their passwords as well or not be connected. If it is not your wifi you are trying to connect to, then you need to obtain the wifi password from that wifi system's administrator.

Kobo plugged into computer but nothing happens when I press connect

Do you have the proper device driver installed on the computer?
:Other info I found online, but have not looked into:

Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter

In addition you can also check if the device manufacturer have driver for the device.

Problem with internet connection says when I connect my KOBO to computer and cannot sync any books. Kobo charged and can't access KOBO on computer

It could be several things. But you may need to delete Kobo and reload the app. I have had to do this on some of my programs. Your books are on the net, so they won't be lost.

Sync kobo

You may need to delete KOBO and re-install the app. Your books will be saved because they are online.

Kobo support

I take it you are first going in to Kobo and then plugging in your e-reader, if it does not start to sync click on the button (top right) and it should sync - if this does not help - delete disk top and re-load

Good luck

Kobo is frozen

I would suggest plugging it into a wall charger for at least an hour to see if it was a weak battery.
If that does not help try connecting it via it's USB cable to a PC - this sometimes sparks it into life.
If not go for the soft power reset. (Hold the power button for a slow count of 30, release. Tap to turn on.)

My kobo vox reader screen shattered but still works. is there antthing i can do to keep it from getting worse?

Hello William,

With the display crystal cracking there very little to repair it that I know of. Try contacting a business that that replaces the Iphone and ipad screens. They may have a source of supply for the part(s). If they can not assist please find below a link to the customer service page of Kobo. Fill it in and ask about repair/replacement of the screen of the reader. If there is still a problem please come back and we shall see what can be done.
Thanks

When I plug my Kobo ereader into my laptop, it is not acknowledged by my Kobo desktop. Also when I try to send a book to my ereader from downloads, there are no options; the port(s) used before now only...

Hi Brian,
Kobo has, unfortunately, had a lot of issues with their hardware. Your best option is to:
  1. Uninstall any software it came with.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Reinstall the software your device came with and re-sync.

Alternatively, you can use Windows Restore Point's and go back to a certain point in time where the Kobo device and your PC could sync. The link to do this can be found here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

If this helps, please rate this thread and/or post any comments/follow-up questions. Thank you and have a great day!

Kobo ereader will not sync, says it is full, when there are no books and lots of memory left

when my kobo was brand new out of the box I tried to set it up using the kobo software and got a message saying that the memory was full which obviously wasn't the case. I now use caliber to put all of my books on my kobo and it seems to work perfectly. Hope this helps
