What must I do to get the calculator on my keyboard to work I have a Dell inspiron 1750 laptop and Viste Home edition software

Get latest Vista driver for your keyboard/laptop. The calc is just a mapped key on the keyboard that runs the macro "calc" in the command line. and you may be able to use 3d party key mapping software to reassociate certain keys to do certain macro commands.

Cant get the at button to work even by pressing shift or not, every other key function works.

You may have a bad key, or a key with something under it.
Try this:

Turn the netbook upside down so that the keysj face the floor.
Bang on the back side that way you would to burp a baby.
Then, take a vacuum cleaner and **** out the spaces between the keys.
If this doesn't work, you may have to make an @ symbol manually by using the ALT key. (ALT plus 64). This should work in most Word Processing programs.
  1. Make certain that the Num Lock key has been pressed to activate the numeric key section of the keyboard.
  2. Depress the Alt key.
  3. While the Alt key is depressed, type the proper sequence of numbers (on the numeric keypad) of the ALT code from the table above.
  4. Release the Alt key, and the character will appear.
  5. On a laptop computer, there usually is no numeric keypad. So, instead, depress the Fn (function) key, then the Alt key, then the numerical code sequence. The numbers are on the fronts of certain keyboard keys: M=0, J=1, K=2, L=3, U=4, I=5, O=6, 7=7, 8=8, and 9=9.

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, and certain letter

This could be a possible hardware issue. You can try to use an external USB keyboard and check if the keys are working or not. If you do not have an external keyboard, you can try to use the onscreen keyboard. To do this, go to start>programs>accessories> accessiblity and then choose on-screen keyboard. Open a notepad and try to use the keys which are not working using the onscreen keyboard. If onscreen keyboard works fine , then you need to get the keyboard replaced.

Certain keys won't function on keyboard

Could be that the connector from the keyboard to the mainboard is crooked. Try taking the keyboard off and wiggling the connector from the keyboard to the board so that it is a snugger fit.
