I have a mac. how do i set up so i can start printing

I would reset the machine to factory defaults. Leads to be printed can be manipulated but the factory setting is to print a full 12 lead.

settings-> system setup-> restore defaults-> yes -> hit start until you are back at the main screen and hit print again ( to get a print out)

To Add and set as Defult Printer Go to system Preferences>Print and Scan > "+" symbol on left corner and add the printer.
when you give a command of print there you can see the list of printers and you can select the printer you want to print from.

the disc won't work with mac - but you can do LPR on it but if you do LPR it will only support printing not scanning and fax.

There is a setting in the print dialogue that allows you to set that the printer prints only in grayscale. There is a chance that you have that setting changed and it is printing in grayscale each time you print by default.

setting up auth. on mac requires that you open the doc on appropriate app, on print menu select output method, set auth. credentials, and save. then print. some mac OSX ver. will save others won't. prompting you to set auth, every time you need printing.

have you clear the set print area? if not go to File menu, select Print Area then select Clear Print Area

try also to set your sheet into page view to find out if you can view right page of your sheet.

try also to check your margin.

you have to change the setting on the printer. goto start, control panel, printer and faxes, choose the printer your using and right click your printer and click on printing preferences. change the size of paper that you want and click apply. It may be alittle different on mac but find where your printer is and change the settings. I hope it works for you.
