The letters: QWERUIOP[] do not work on my Hipstreet Bluetooth Keyboard, can anyone help me to get these keys back as useful??
Thank you to all who submit an answer or suggestion,
John
I have two of these keyboards and suddenly one day they both stopped allowing the QWERUIOP[] Keys to type. I am including the information that is stamped on the case, as follows:
UNIV910CS-3N1 B114SEE200,
IC:8012A-HSBTKB14,
FCC ID: YH5-HSBTK14
If anyone can help me to get the keys working again it would be greatfuly appreciated.

Remove from the tablet device and reboot. Power off the keyboard and back on. Tell tablet to search for Bluetooth devices. Press Bluetooth button on the keyboard to pair the two devices.
If that doesn't make it work, the matrix under the keys is broken and you need a new one.

Via Bluetooth. I assume your keyboard is a Bluetooth keyboard, as this is the only type of keyboard you can connect to a tablet or mobile phone. Follow the instructions on the set up guide that came with the keyboard.
This happened to me on my NEC Versa M300 so I took the keyboard off and swapped it for my brother's (we have the same laptops) and the replacement one works fine. I think a terminal on the connector gets dirty or corroded.
Take the computer to a qualified technician, who can replace the keyboard, as the least-expensive "try" at trouble-shooting.
Since a keyboard transmits "codes" to the motherboard,
e.g., left-shift-has-been-pressed, and left-shift-has-been-released,
and the motherboard interprets those codes, it is NOT likely that
the motherboard is misinterpreting the codes, especially given that
the "bad' letters are in a straight line on your keyboard.
Find an external USB keyboard, and plug it in.
If it works correctly in the first 15 minutes, then the problem is NOT the motherboard.
Look on the bottom you should see some screws, remove the screws and leaving the keys facing down, pop the two pieces apart.
Leaving the electronics aside you can now continue with the following instructions
Ok, once you have the two pieces, all of the keys should stay in there proper place, take and soak that in the sink with some soap and water.
Moving all the keys to get the water to flow through.
Then dry off the Keyboard and vacuum all the excess water off, then replace and screw back together, you should be good to go.
I wouldn't recommend a dishwasher, this could get to hot and melt the keys
Check the connectors from thr PC board to the keyboard, if they are OK tren try this hold the code key press and release the "L" key type 001 release thecode key. If this works you need a keyboard to repair it'
Once I take the keyboard apart, and brush off the 3 plastic layers underneath the keyboard, it works fine. There are 14 screws on the back that you need to remove, a couple of them are hidden underneath warning / instruction stickers so you have to feel for them and cut the stickers off with a knife.
same problem, is there a repair possibility ?
