My Compaq Computer monitor Model PE1212 has a very dimme screen i have put Brightness to 100% but is still not working. what should i do?

have some problem i m uing hp 7540 crt monitor it showing every time atomtically displying usermode how to stop user mode

Have you checked the brightness options for the screen using the HP function keys? Fn +F7 or Fn+F8 should adjust the brightness of the screen for that C306 model laptop. If adjusting the brightness has no response then try the next steps.

What happens if you turn the computer off, plug it into an external monitor or projector, and then turn the computer back on? If the video displays correctly on a computer monitor or projector, but it stays dim on the LCD screen of the laptop, then the laptop LCD Screen Back-light or inverter is probably going out. You'll need to contact HP for a replacement part or take the laptop to a certified repair center.

try to shut it down.....unplug the computer

This is common problem arises mainly due to moisture,especially in rainy season,Monitor front panel control buttons remain pressed,due to deposition of ferric oxide and moisture in between monitor botton panel and circuit board.So you can dry this moisture by hanging a bulb of 60 watt nearer a monitor about 4-5 hrs,(too near may damage the internal heat sensitive parts.).It solves your problem.....and also you may clean the inner monitor button contacting circuit by means of PCB cleaner to wipe out ferric oxide deposition.

HelIo! right after computer inclusions on the monitor screen have a tablet with the message which disturbs to work. The message: brightness of the monitor of 100 %! A problem: how to clean from the screen this tablet so she prevents to read the information. I have not found adjustment in the menu of the monitor brightness. And what should be brightness: 100 % or another? have not found adjustment in the menu of the monitor brightness. lost of focus, and intensty. all point to one thing.
by the way, do you have the correct video driver installed???

The monitor and laptop are not compatible or the cable is not properly connected.
