I have a Thermal Arc 175SE arcmaster. I always have problems starting the machine up, the lights come on for a moment then click off.

Always check the breakers in your electrical breaker box in house first. I say this because it takes 2 for dryers one for coils and lights the other for motor and thermostats. Next check door switch by listening for contact click sound when you push the door closed if you hear it switch is good and most likely motor is bad.

loose connection somewhere inbetween the pcb's or mosfit pcb must be not working 1 or2 diodes/mosfit not working

Your plasma has a start arc pilot inside the machine, this one must be faulty, check your owner's manual and request the part to your nearest welding store. It is easy to replace.

We had the same problem. Try and replace the swirl ring in the torch head. It costs around 35 dollars. It worked for us.

Hi, thanks for using FixYa.com. Most gas dryer heat complaints are the result of faulty gas coils. They are located directly on the gas valve which is in the front left corner of your dryer. They are inexpensive and easily replaced. However, there are thermal fuses that can cause no heat issues as well. An easy way to determine where to start is by listening closely to what happens the moment you turn the machine on. If you hear a fairly loud "click" and no heat, the coils are likely bad. If there is no "click" and the machine just starts, likely a thermal fuse.

You don't mention the model or make of dryer but this problem is usually due to a small component in the machine called a thermal overload switch. This switch stops the dryer when the elements get too hot. However, it often malfunctions and turns off the dryer the moment you use heat settings. The overload switch is inexpensive and should easily be found at your local appliance dealer.

Check contacts in tip and be sure it is all lubed correctly. If you have good air pressure and flow it should arc after pulling the trigger for about 2-3 seconds.

Looks like your sensor needs a good cleaning.
