Could be throttle valve within the throttle body has gunked up and is catching the decent cable. Try changing tranny fluid & filter.
It can be the cause of many problems like that in transmissions.
Gives a false reading on the throttle position sensor causing irregular shifting.

98 gmc jimmy 4.3 v6 auto trans 4x4 was shifting good then kicked out of gear and only goes to 1sy and 2nd gear no higher wat can it be I changed filter and fluid

You are probably too late for just a fluid change. You can dig into the shift solenoids which you can replace yourself but anything else I would hire someone to do it for you.

My s-10 chevy blazer 98 will not engage in gear for reverse ands has no power in drive sounds like its free spiining noise is coming from what sounds like my drive line

Try to get it scanned if any check engine is on! If not your reverse clutches are fried or the reverse valve is shot basically you will need another rebuild trans or good used one. Good luck

Trail blazer gear shift button

Could be the brake switch or the shift lock solenoid. You may be able to turn the key lock to the unlock position, move the shifter out of park, then start the engine in neutral.
The shifter and the shift lock solenoid would need to be inspected.

Automatic transmission won't catch any gear?

Check trans fluid levels, if this is ok, could be a torque converter or valve body solenoids issue.

2001 chevy blazer not shifting right

Check the oil if you haven't already. If that makes no difference, change the tranny oil and filter. It can make a world of difference. Another thing it could be is your fuel filter. The engine is starving for gas, and can't shift properly.
