SOURCE: Check engine light came on
When a 'check engine light' (MIL=Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is turned on, there is a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) set/stored in the ECM/PCM (Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module). This code identifies which engine management system component/function experienced a malfunction. Once you pull/read this code, you can begin diagnosis.
It is Not any of the above as it reads it cranks but no start. I would edge my bets on immobiliser relay is more like your problem as it clicks when key is removed. People please read the question in full and think about it before you leave your wrong answers
