There are literally dozens of capacitors, just look for one that is burnt looking or popped open.

Polaroid tlx 04244b

Were the inverters separate from the power supply? If so, the power supply may be a fault. Most TV's and Monitors suffer from Bad Capacitors, which can be identified due to them "swelling", the tops become rounded instead of flat. When this happens, the capacitor has failed, and can cause the hum, due to more ripple in the power out from the PSU. Also check you reattached the earth cable, if you had to remove it when replacing the board. Many are clamped to the metalwork with a screw.

If you have soldering skills, you can buy replacement caps cheap, and replace them yourself. Failing that, you're looking at a PSU board.

see this picture for an example - http://www.miteredcode.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/defective_caps.jpg

Poloriod tlx-04244b sceen will not come on

if their is a sound with totally black screen the cause would be either inverter board get bad or the screen back light was damaged. if just a white screen, you can noticed by looking at the dark room. then the cause would be bad t-con board. just let me know if it can help you can ask further solution thanks for consulting through fixya.
