SOURCE: Toto fill valve continual problem, new toilet

There are cheep fill valves and ther better built fill valves, so make sure you buy aa quality fill valve. Also buy a pressuer gauge at ahard ware store and check water pressure level at a faucet outlet. Screw gauge onto water fauct leave a little room for air to escape when water is drippng out tighten the hose bib on the gage turn on the faucet and read the pressure. If it's more than 50 PSI you need to lower the water pressuer. I need to know if your on a, on site underground well,or are on city water to tell you what you need to do to to fix this problem. If there is one. thanks for using Fix-ya if you want more info post here.

SOURCE: my dual flush toilet fills up slowly how do i fix

Lift the tank lid off, place it somewhere safe for a moment, and look at what happens: If you're talking about jiggling the handle to get the tank to start to fill with water, then it sounds like the chain or rope is out of adjustment. It can't be TOO TIGHT or the water will leak past your flapper (will cause your dripping noise, tank water level will leak down, causing constant refills), and it cant be TOO LOOSE or the toilet won't flush correctly. Since you didn't mention trouble flushing the toilet, I think that it may be a little too TIGHT. When you jiggle the flush lever-it is supposed to pull a chain or cable to open the flapper at the bottom of the tank. Flush the tank and watch what happens-all the way through to refilling the tank with water and shutting off the water refill valve-Does the flapper get stuck on the chain or something? It is supposed to fall back down to allow the tank to refill after flushing out your toilet. Does the chain look very loose? The dripping sound you described indicates that the flapper is not sealing 100%. The flapper is very easy to replace, you just have to get the adjustment set for when you flush the toilet how sensitive you need it. You amy have to play with it a little bit before you get the adjustment correct.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: water fills tank slowly

Check your angle stop ==valve underneath close to the wall see if it's open all the way if it is and you still have the same problem then go ahead and shut it off, disconnect it from the toilet and the valve and see if there is anything stuck in the hose (a gasket maybe) if nothing blocks the hose then. Reconnect the hose starting from the valve put a bucket on the other side to catch the water and open the valve as if to clean the hose. After you do that reconnect the hose and try again if still does not work properly then you have to replace the fill valve (the tower looking stuff inside the tank)

if it works for you, don't forget to rate me

thx

SOURCE: I have a Jacuzzi Perfecta toilet (bought Aug. 21,

Have you tried shutting water off and take top of valve appart and flush it out. It may have something in valve causing water to be restricted. It will have an arrow on it to direction to get it to come off.

Take appart and clean rubber disc and you can put something over top of valve , a small cup or something to enable you to flush the tank. Have someone help you and hold the cup above the valve so that when you turn water on for a few bursts to flush out the valve it goes into tank.

The actual stream that flows through valve is restricted down to almost 1/8 " opening so it wouldn't take mush to block the flow of water.

The disc you take out you can replace it, if it seems to be damaged and not working correctly. That will affect the flow also.

Testimonial: "I took the valve apart. It is working like it is supposed to. That sure is a tiny hole for the fill water to shoot through. that is why it is so slow. It still whistles when filling. Tnx Walter Neaves"

Why would the jacuzzi perfecta toilet handle comes off and now won't fill, just keeps running

Handle retaining nut either came loose or broke off. Check the flapper valve, if its not completely closed water will keep running out, and fill valve will stay open trying to fill the tank.

What about sand? There may be a screen in the filler that is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

Jacuzzi toilet does not fill enough water in the bowl

Check to see if there is not a clog in the trap. This could keep your bowl from filling up. Also check the flapper and see if it is staying afloat in the tank long enough during the flush. Either of these could be the cause here.

The Fill valve bypasses after fill is complete. It sounds like water still running at a very small rate.I am looking to find a replacement valve.

try replacing the flapper or adjust the valve so the water does not fill over the tube. also the chain may be too tight on the flapper and keeping it from sealing

Hissing sound in tank (fill valve) . fills too level line & keeps then slowly fills too top, floats been adjusted .

Dear Sir,

It appears you need to adjust the float level so that it applys more pressure quickly to completely shut off the water going into the main filler tube. Does the hissing go away when you lift up on the float toward the ceiling? If it does, then you need to what I said above. Turn your float ball out farther, or carefully bend your rod down toward the base of the toilet so that it applies more pressure quickly. This should solve your issue.
