Mine is slightly different, but I suspect the date adjustment is the same. Pull the middle knob on the right out VERY gently. You have to stop at the first click. Then turn it to set the date.

(I'm dutch, so I'll try in my best englisch)

I don't know if you still have the problem, but what you should do is te following:

* pull out the knob (2 times) and turn anti-clockwise to change the time
* keep doing until it's 24.00 (midnight) and you day change's to the UK (!) day.
* push back the knob (1 time) and change the day to the FRANCE (!) day by turning anti-clockwise
* pull out the knob again and turn anti-clockwise to change the time until 03:00 (midnight)
* you see the then change the day back to the UK day

So, every night at 00:00 the day changes to the FRANCE notation and at 03:00 it then changes to the UK notation, so you can enjoy this setting during the day.

Good Luck.

SOURCE: Date dial is not moving when adjusting. No problem

The date dial is turn by two mechanisms. By turning the crown one set of wheels are engaged to change the date but when the watch is running or the time is being set another set of wheels is used to change the date.

Because it will not change on it's own when the watch is keeping time the wheel that is supposed to turn the date needs to be replaced.

A qualified watchmaker can do this for you.

Hope this helps.

I cant adjust the date for my Fossil AM4205..help!

mcdevito75 here, If your Fossil watch has a winding stem it may have 2 positions, gently place a fingernail under the crown and lift as gently as possilble, this should allow you to adjust the date without having to cycle thru the 24 hours to get to the date you want. It may take practise but that first position should be there, Set the date to 1 day before the date you need, then set the watch normally the full 24 hour cycle to get the date you want, this way the watch date will set as suppose to at about mid-night for the next days date.

Changing the date on a fossil watch- how do you do it?

Which Fossil do you own?

Analog Date Watch:
Date Setting
  1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  2. Turn the crown either clockwise or counter-clockwise and set the date for the previous day. The direction that moves the date varies on different watch models.

Analog Automatic:
Time and Date Setting

  1. Pull crown out to position 2 and rotate clockwise to set time.
  2. Pull crown out to position 3; date will advance automatically. To set to required date, continue to rotate crown between positions 2 and 3.
  3. Push crown back to position 1.
Analog Digital:
Time and Calendar Setting

  1. Press and hold pusher A for 2 seconds to enter setting mode. Year will begin flashing.
  2. Press pusher A to select year, month, date, hour, minute, second, and then exit setting mode.
  3. Press pusher B to adjust digit.
  4. Press and hold pusher B to adjust digit automatically.
  5. If no pushers are operated for 30 seconds, setting will be returned to Normal Time Display.

These are the three most common Fossils. If yours isn't here please let me know which model you have and I'll get you the instructions.
Hope this helps.

Is there a easier way to change the month dial on a fossil

When you pull out crown, there is two positions (clicks), not just one. First click is for day/date quick setting. Second click is for hand setting. Pull the crown out slowly and carefully and you will soon find out both positions.

Fossil ch 2470 watch. I have no idea what the extra little dials are for on the face and how to set them. Please help

The dials are part of a Chronograph (stop watch) I assume there is a second, minute, and maybe a date function. Usually the large second hand is part of the stop watch on only moves when you start the stopwatch (top right button) push again to stop and reset back too zero is the bottom button. Usually to set or zero out those dials pull out the crown to the first click (also sets date) then push the top button to set the seconds (big hand) and the bottom button to set the other. sometimes you may need to pull the crown out to the second click (also sets hour and minutes) to set add'l dials. This is generally how you set most chronograph watches the button you push and what moves may be different.

Trouble with Fossil ME1014

I looked at a picture of the watch. I see the date. the dial that is right below the hands is a moon dial which does the phases of the moon & below that you have a separate second hand. A lot of times on a watch that looks like that if you pull the crown where you set the watch with out half a click it will set the date if you turn it on way and the moon dial if you turn it the other way. To set the moon dial on the watch you need to put it on the full moon when the moon is full again then it will keep up with the phases of the moon. I hope this helps.
