I had the same problem.
When the 3 lights was lit, I read in the service manual that the printer was ruined, destroyed, nothing to do with it; Throw it away.
But that is wrong.
What I did was;
-Disconnect USB cable.
-Close and open the paper tray door.
-Turn it off-on
Dont remember the sequence here, but disconnect USB was first step.
The reason for this happening is probably that you tried a printout from WINDOWS 10 (With a wrong printer driver)!!!
You probably has just switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
Remember thet windows 10 is 64 bit ONLY. And a Hp1010 printer driver was normally for a 32 bit computer.
What to do?
Install a HP printer driver for windows 64 bit.

search for hp 1010
You will then get here;https://www.printerdriverforwindows.com/...
Then select the one for Windows 64 bit.
Download it to a place on your disk so that you will find it again.
Then go to Add Printer and select local printer. have disk and all that and select your downloaded printer driver.
