    Page 68 & 72 talk about troubleshooting problems. If it is anything other than these items listed, you should take it to a service center for repair. There are videos on youtube for cleaning and oiling the machine, but no serious repairs.

    That is what I'm trying to avoid taking it to service center when I could do the repairs myself.

Oil points singer model 7422
Computerized sewing machines, like the 7422, don't usually need oiling. They used sealed bearings. The manual for the 7422 does not show any oiling/lubrication points.

How do I stop all the lights from linking on model 7422 singer sewing machine
I'm assuming that your machine doesn't work--it just blinks the lights. It indicates that something is stopping the machine from setting itself up to sew. Most likely, it will need to be serviced, but you CAN at least rule out user error. Download the user's manual, and starting from scratch, make sure you have properly threaded and set up your machine. They also may have additional suggestions regarding the machine's behavior. There is often a troubleshooting part at the back of the manual. You can download it free at the Singer site.

My Singer 7422 seems to be jammed. When I start to make a stitch, the thread from the needle gets caught on something on the bottom and the thread goes over the bobbin.
