Toshiba hdd/vcr/dvd recorder stuck on avi - won't change to tv using input on handset

Hi,

please attempt to change the input from the Toshiba recording device directly. You might switch between modes on the Toshiba by pressing 1 of the hdd, vcr or dvd buttons. If this doesn't work, you can power cycle the device and then attempt to changed the mode from the Toshiba directly again. Otherwise, you might need to eject any disc that's currently in the device before attempting to change modes again.

Thank you.

How do i change the input

The 27" TV uses the same instructions as the 20", and I found the manual for you at the link below. Answering your question directly, here is the section of the instructions about changing input:
-----
Changing the TV's Input Normally, your TV displays the signal coming through the antenna terminal. However, if you've connected another component to your TV(such as a VCR & DVD) using the Video/Audio input, you will want to be able to view the signal from the component. To do this, you will need to switch from the ' TV ' input to the 'AV1-AV3, CVI' Input, as follows. 1 With the TV on, press the MENU button twice, then " Set-Up " menu will appear. 2 Use the WCHV buttons to select " Input ". 3 Press the CVOLB buttons to change the input source from ' TV ' to 'AV1, AV2, AV3, CVI'. 4 Wait 20 seconds, or press DISPLAY button or MENU button to return to normal TV viewing. * CVI means the Component Video Input (Y/ PB/ PR) from the DVD player etc.* Users can also select these input modes with the TV/AV button or the INPUT button on theremote controller. * On the AV1 mode , if you connect the S-VHS jack to your TV, "AV1" is changed to "S-VIDEO".

Can't change FM input mode! Stuck at analog...

Tuner is only analog. As for the Video 1 input you need to go into the menu and change it to the digital port you want to use (optical, coaxial or HDMI) you can set only one input to each digital input port.

I change Component Cable Video & Audio 6 cables

I might sound stupid but Double check that you`ve connected the correct connectors as in All Inputs plugs being used or All outputs plugs being used. If you have one of these leads with 6 connectors on one lead, (Audio Input L+R, Video Input, Audio Output L+R, Video Output) You need to make sure that if you get sound from the audio input plugs, then you must use the video input plug and vice verse. Setup

You need to select the appropriate video input on the television. If you have done this, you need to check your connections. Most likely you connected it via the red white and yellow cables. Therefore, find the remote for your TV (the one that actually shipped with your TV - not the one you use for cable or satellite) and look for a button labelled something like:
TV Video, Video Select, A/V, AV Select, Input, Input Select, Device, Source, Auxiliary, Line, etc. When you press this - your television should change to what's called an input mode. One of these input modes will likely give you a picture from the recorder. If not, call Panasonic.

How Do I Get a DVD to Work with This TV?

Make sure to switch the TV's tuner mode to Video or Aux mode.
You can change the mode using the original TV remote or directly from the TV's control panel.

Again, tuner mode picks up all live broadcast airwaves and Video or Auxillary mode displays what is inputed into the TV via second device..

Good Luck!
