The (X) in the model number stands for extra large (2.7cu ft) capacity. The 1 stands for single speed. The 6 stands for 6 cycles. It should have a white plastic clothes basket. More expensive models had a stainless basket. Hope this helps you.

I suppose you have looked at the owners manual, on the page below, it seems to indicate knob B. but it is unclear

There is a small glass fuse on the left inside the front panel. Replace it.

not sure exzakley ive repaired thousands of washers though.just dont pack the clothes in it.God bless,tom

Size varies between manufactures, the biggest I have seen is the GE which is 3.5 cu ft, base your machine on your standard size load, ours is about 8lbs however I dont overload, I take large items quilts, comforters etc to a laundromat, its not worth breaking my machine over a comforter wash for $3.50 American.
