have you checked the DC side of TV LOOK FOR ANY CAPACITORS with holes blown in them and are a of a burnt appearance , and also look for any breaks in circuit board also look for holes in circuit solder . I know this might sound silly have you checked the fuse in the MAINS PLUG ....
If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

I would first check the power supply. Check the main fuse, if is blown and there was no power surge from an external source, the supply board has some serious problem. If the fuse is fine measure the output voltage of the power supply board. Check for any swollen electrolytic capacitors, they are the number one cause of every LCD failure I have come across. I just fixed a Polaroid FLM1514 which has a 2956C Ver 2.0 power board driven by a Fairchild CM0765. Turns out the VCC capacitor was bad and not even swollen, sowpped it for a 47uF 50V and presto.
Hello!
Just check your main power supply socket. If it is ok than just open your tv back cover and check the fuse. I am sure the fuse is burnt. If the fuse is also ok than you need to consult a technition. But mostly it is the problem of burning fuse
The power LED light indicator still have power on?No,than the power supply board is the causes and the problems. That the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Hi
The problem here is that you may have blown a capacitor, the best way to check is to open up the tv and check the capacitors on the back of the power supply board.
Hope this helps,
Joe
A lot of TVs are having their power boards go bad due to a poor brand of capacitor (CapXon usually).
If small problems are noticed with the tv, the solution is to replace
the capacitors. However, once the TV gets to the point where there is
no power at all any more (not even a stand-by light) then the power
supply has to be replaced.
Visit Viewsonic's website or call your local Viewsonic repair shop to get a price on this board. They are usually under $100.
