Unfortunately it appears none of these parts are avail anymore. The physical buttons, key panel assy, touch pad support are no longer available. The smart board (WB27X5239) seems to floating around, but this does not appear to contain either of the 2 buttons or switches as part of it's assembly. Pleazer Appliance..
If the menu button on your Zoom H4n recorder is not selecting or responding when pressed, it could be due to a few different reasons:
The button is physically damaged or stuck: Check the button to make sure it is not stuck or physically damaged. Sometimes dirt or debris can accumulate around the button and prevent it from working properly.
The firmware needs to be updated: If the Zoom H4n recorder has not been updated recently, it's possible that the firmware needs to be updated. This can be done by connecting the recorder to a computer and downloading the latest firmware from the Zoom website.
The recorder needs to be reset: If the menu button is still not responding, you can try resetting the recorder to its factory settings. This can be done by holding down the "Menu" button and the "Track" button at the same time until the message "Init All" appears on the screen. Then, press the "Record" button to confirm the reset.
If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there is a hardware issue with the recorder and it may need to be repaired or replaced.
If your Zoom Handy Recorder H4n is stuck on the ZOOM window and you are unable to access the menu or use the recorder, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
Try restarting the recorder by turning it off and then back on again. This can often resolve software issues.
Check the battery level and make sure that the recorder has enough power to function properly. If the battery is low, charge it or replace it with a new one.
Try a hard reset by removing the batteries and/or the SD card, then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds before reinserting the batteries and/or SD card.
If the above steps do not work, try updating the firmware of the recorder. You can download the latest firmware from the Zoom website and follow the instructions for updating the firmware on your device.
If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact Zoom's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or repair options.
It's important to note that if the recorder is still under warranty, you should contact Zoom for repair or replacement.
It sounds as if some of the components were damaged by heat. That is not certain until it is looked at by a repair man. The repairs will require the camera to be dismantled to repair anything internally. The repairs on this camera may be more than you want to spend on it. You should consider to either repair it or sell it on a site such as Ebay for repair, parts, and as is.
I had the same problem. The lower lens wasnt working, but if i zoomed enough the screen would turn back on.. Heres what worked for me.. go into menu, select setup menu, then select digital zoom. and select "off" . now the botton lens should work. take a picture, and then go back into digital zoom menu and select on, and all the zoom views should work!
I own one. Assuming that the camera is working normally, then I know two settings that will cause the zoom to be fixed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Suggestion No. 1:
If the zoom is fixed at the wide end:
1. Turn the mode dial to "P". Now turn on the camera. 2. Press "MENU SET". 3. Press the up arrow button. 4. Now, a menu item named "CONVERSION" should be highlighted. Press the right arrow button. 5. A sub-menu screen should now pop up, select and set "OFF".
If none of the above solve the problem, then the lens might have been knocked slightly out of position.
~If the camera has been dropped. ~If the camera has been thumped or banged. ~If while zooming, the lens was obstructed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The zoom motor also could have died, it costs about $50.00 U.S. at Panasonic.com. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My best advice would be to contact panasonic customer service.
Check that the wide angle pull out filter is pushed in proberly until it clicks in place also in custom menu check that M ZOOM is set to OFF. (hold zoom and - buttons together for a couple of seconds to enter and exit custom menu)
