SOURCE: Scooter with fully charged battery

Hi.

Seven beeps means faulty Throttle potentiometer or speed potentiometer fault. If using contact cleaner is not enough, that means that the faulty part must be replaced. The potentiometer is tested reading Ohms with a multimeter. Touch its contacts with multimeter probe set on Ohms while using the accelerator at the same time.Contact your authorized Pride Provider to get replacement part or to get a quote on repair.

SOURCE: when I turn the key

The beep code will begin with 10 very fast beeps, followed by 5 slower beeps. The 5 slower beeps is your actual code. The beep code 5 is a brake fault.
The scooter may be in freewheel mode or there may be a short in the brake.
Make sure the scooter is in drive mode with the rear brake lever in the correct position. If that does not clear the fault you need to check the electromagnetic brake.
To check the brake you need a digital voltmeter. The brake should read 30 to 65 ohms when you read across the pins. You need to measure the resistance at each successive point on the harness because there are 5 connectors. While you are inspecting these plugs, check for corrosion, loose pins, broken wires, and pins not making good contact. Disassemble the front and rear halves of the scooter when you do this.
If all the resistance checks are good up to the controller plug for the brake, you have a bad controller. With that being said, I usually see a bad connection at the multiple points in-between. Sometimes the wires for the brake will melt at the connector at the controller.
Inspect these areas visually, removing the rear cover of the brake/motor/transaxle and the controller. An experienced tech should charge you under 1 hour labor for the diagnosis. You may be able to save some money by checking the obvious areas for unplugged or bad connections first.
The brake will cost about $250, the interface wiring and connectors about $50 and the controller is about $500. For this reason, you should invest in a good tech to diagnose the problem first, before proceeding with any hit and miss do it yourself repairs.
Including a second visit to install the new parts, labor cost should not exceed 2 hours total.
This is a very popular model so you should be able to find an experienced tech in your area.

SOURCE: I own a Pride Go

Problem seems to be in the brake wiring or micro switch on the brake itself that is causing your problem check the brake and wiring to make sure you have good connections and check if you can see that the micro switch is working correctly. try leaving the switch on and moving the freewheel lever to see if it will reset without turning the switch off if it doesn't and you have to turn it on then off then there is a problem in the brake circuitry signal to the console and you will have to replace the brake/microswitch assembly. Hope this helps

Green Light flashes when key is in. WONT GO !!!

  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is fully charged and properly connected to the scooter. If the battery is low, charge it fully before trying to use the scooter.
  2. Reset the controller: Turn off the scooter and disconnect the battery. Wait for a few minutes, then reconnect the battery and turn on the scooter. This should reset the controller and may fix the issue.
  3. Check the freewheel lever: If the freewheel lever is engaged, the scooter will not move. Make sure the freewheel lever is disengaged before trying to operate the scooter.
  4. Check the throttle: If the throttle is not working properly, the scooter will not move. Make sure the throttle is fully engaged and that there are no obstructions preventing it from moving.

My gogo ultra is showing fully charged and horn beeps, when i put key in it beeps fast 10 times and 5 beeps after

5 beeps usually means scooter is out of gear, but since the lever is in the drive position and the scooter gearbox/differential is engaged, it seems that the controller is not sensing the gear change. Possibly a faulty micro switch in the motor housing can be the cause of this, usually the micro switch is pressed down by the drive lever and if the switch is pressed down the motor controller knows the scooter is in gear.

How to stop a continuing beep on my Cordoba scooter when I turn the key on? The scooter don't move at all.

Hi Mag,
I have this steps that might help you with beeping sound on your Scooter. Hope it helps.

UNIT LIGHTS UP/HORN WORKS BUT UNIT WILL NOT MOVE
Possible Cause:
  • This often occurs when the scooter is in free wheel mode and is not in drive mode. Re-Engage the free wheel lever which is located down near the rear wheels (normally a yellow or red lever).
  • If you hear a beeping noise, the beeping you hear is a fault beep indicating the scooter main control box has detected a problem. Contact your dealer who can diagnose the beep code.
  • Check batteries with load tester - If either battery drops more than 1 volt under a load, the battery(s) are bad. Replace "both" batteries.

I also find these additional steps on how to know beep alarm indicators:

This main control box has a self-diagnostics feature & cannot be tested with a volt meter. When a
problem is present the main control box will diagnose the fault, prohibit the scooter from being driven
and sound an alert beep. Each alert beep indicates a different issue which helps to determining the
problem by narrowing the fault into one of a few main areas of the scooter. Reference this information
below for the alert beep indications.

Very Rapid beep- Batteries are low. Charge & test batteries.
Medium Fast beep- Motor/brake wiring fault. Free wheel lever disengaged.
Solid beep- The charger is plugged into the scooter (some models may vary).
Very Slow beep- The throttle pot was not at center when you turned the unit on. Throttle pot off
center or wiring (yellow & orange wires) fault.

Gogo elitescooter lights indicate battery fully charged but scooter will not go

Make sure the free-wheel lever is engaged and the charger is unplugged from the scooter before you try to turn the scooter on. If the battery gauge goes up when you turn the scooter on and there are no beeping sounds you should be good to go.If the battery gauge drops to the red when you try to accelerate slowly, your batteries are shot. (Typical replacement in 24-48 months). If there is any beeping when the key is first turned on then there is a problem and the number of beeps indicates the problem found by the computer during the POST. make sure you put it in "gear" completely sometime you can get it almost locked but its still in freewheel, flashing light is error code, do a count of blinks and stops, look in the back of book for trouble codes

We have a Fortress Scientific 2000 electric scooter that hasn't been used for several years. We put in new batteries, it shows fully charged, comes on and has a steady beep, but won't go forward or...

Your break release shifter is in the push the scooter mode. Put it back in gear and the horn doesn' beep and it should run..
The horn beeping is the alarm to tell you the break release is on.

It is usually located under the seat on the body of the top of the battery housing. Looks like a stick with a ball on it.

The battery is fully charged but the scooter will not move.

Is it the small portable scooter? The one with the base that comes apart for transporting? Could it be a bad connection where it goes back together?

If it is the portable, try disconnecting the rear drive portion from the base and re-installing it so it clicks into place.
