I'm trying to connect my ps3 to an HP w2007 LCD monitor, yet the monitor states it cannot connect because of changing settings to 1680x1050-60hz. I've already connected HDMI-DVI and have no idea next.

Is it better to use VGA instead? Is the monitor useless at this point? how do I make the ps3 compatible to the monitor? Are there any steps I'm missing?

You need to change the resolution on your PS3 to match the 1680x1050 of the monitor:
Start with your PS3 turned off. With the PS3 off (showing a solid Red light) if you hold the power button down until you hear two beeps it will force the PS3 to forget any saved video output settings and boot up at a lower resolution. It will then take you through the Optimal Resolution set up.

My hp w2007 turned blue after I moved it how do I access screen display from the monitor menu

Some monitors change colour if there is damage, internally, within the signal cable. Try another cable if you have one.
Alternatively, it might be that the monitor is near an extremely strong magnetic source, such as big loudspeakers?

Check ALL cables, connections, pins, if you can, reset to default settings on the monitor. Is it under warranty? Any damage? Have you done ANY graphic updates? Hardware upgrades?

I have a Hp 500 (OLD) and a hp w2007 monitor that says' no signal? I have checked chords is the problem the monitor or my old tower

If both monitors give no signal, the computer has a video graphics card issue or a motherboard problem, now when you checked the video cord, do you change it? if you have a extra cord, sub it to be sure.

Hp lcd w2007 moniter keeps going to sleep. Please help!

Check the power saving option of your computer. You can find it under the Control Panel. Just look for Power Option then Turn off monitor. Just set it to never or the time you want your monitor to be on.

Hope that works for you.
I'll appreciate the feed back and the thumbs up.
Thanks.

The color is "off" on

ladywoman197, 2 things for you to do. 1. disconnect-reconnect vga cable a few times from the DB15 vga port on the pc. If problem (pink hue) persists then try here: http://www.lesliewong.us/blog/2005/05/02/hp-pavilion-f1703-flat-panel-blackout-solution/ Your unit may need some new capacitors installed on the power supply printed circuit board. Read fixya profiles of "budmrtn" "12fixlouie" and also visit youtube for video clips of lcd monitor repair. Do the vga cable thing first!!! Could also be vga graphics card inside pc not making good contact with monitor cable. 12fixlouie

My hp w2007 moniter keeps going black after about 10 mins. of idle .turned off screensaver because i want moniter to stay on but it doesnt.

Where you go to select "no" screen saver, there should be a "Power Settings" button. Press this and in there you can set the power save feature to "never" switch off monitor. Hope this helps. Ian.

Make sure that everything is connected to the monitor properly. Go to the back of it and make sure the VGA or DVI cables are secured and then check the back of the computer to do the same.

No sound on the hp w2007

Those speakers require a certain cable connected to the computer aside from the monitor's own cable.
