I have a toshiba 55" led the screen is black and i got sound and a little picture the power light starts on green then blinks to orange and stays orange how to fix this

have you checked for dry joints or blown capacitors , with a power surge depending what kind voltage or amperage the circuit received it might have even blown screen connect it will certainly fry a lot of components ,have you looked for holes in capacitors ,resistors or burnt tracks between components . that's about all I can think of to check also some power panels have built in fuses to stop surges if you could obtain a circuit diagram that should help you also you could google your query and see if you get any assistance it costs nothing and you could get your TV up and running again . All the best .

Seems that way. Fact that you saw the logo on screen eliminates the inverter board.

The main board of your TV should be troubleshooted. It is a very skilled work, and you must have sufficiant knoledge in electronics and expereince to work with digital printed circuit boards. In most cases, the repair to this board will be immpossible, and may replace it as card basis.

I had a similar problem. I had a 52" RCArear projection tv. It would do this when I initially turned on the television, but then after a few "on/off, on/off, on/off" cycles it would stay on. Eventually it started doing it more; until finally there was a spark and that was it. The tv was dead.The bloggers called it "the blinking green light of death" (because of green light on the panel).The power board is going out.ALSO holding down the Input and Menu buttons afterward will give you some diagnostic information via 2 sets of blinking indicator lights.

You may very well have issues with capacitors on this set being that it is or very similar to the V26 chassis. Since I have spare test lamps laying around, I would normally try that first. If the lamp still would not stay lit, I would then suspect the electrical chassis (capacitors). When I suspect the chassis, I can usually verify it by pulling it out and partially disassemble it and find blown capacitors

Have you checked the lamp? I would start there if you haven't. Take the lamp out and look down in it to see if the filament is cracked or broken. That is definately what it sounds like. I have seen many of these at shop.

Well, suddenly it worked again. But I waited the whole day >.>

I had this same problem and after doing some research, I removed the lamp, cleaned it and plugged it back in. It fixed my problem completely.
