SOURCE: pool heater cycles on and

Check your by-pass valve to be sure it is closed and forcing water through the heater. Otherwise it will cause cycling and low heat rise.

SOURCE: Our pool/spa pump will cut

If the motor is very hot it could be shutting off due to a thermal safety device.

Anything that makes the motor work too hard and/or heat up will trigger this.

Blockage in the water lines
Clogged pool filter
Worn motor bearings
Lack of air flow around the motor
Weak or damaged motor windings.

A defective thermal limit switch will **** off the pump when the pump is within heat and load limits.

Why does my South Seas spa always has the jet1 light on with continuous filtering even though I have my filtering is set to 2 hours and my water temp is 90 degrees F.

According to the South Seas Spas Owner's Manual, the filter cycle begins 6 minutes after the spa is energized and the second filter cycle begins 12 hours later. The filter duration is programmable and can be set to 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours for continuous filtration (indicated by "FC"). The default filter time is 2 hours.

It's possible that your filter cycle duration is set to continuous filtration mode. To change the mode, press the "Warm" or "Cool" button and select a duration of 2 hours.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact a professional technician for further assistance.

I have a Jacuzzi J340 Hot Tub. I am having trouble with the heating. When the pump is on, the water circulates just fine. once the heater kicks on, it runs for about 10 seconds, then clicks to OH, and...

make sure the heating element isnt touching the casing inside the heating tube. if its an indoor tub, make sure the filtration cycles are not set to constant. constant filter cycles on an indoor tub will generate residual heat from the circ pump running 24/7, causing tub to heat past 104 degrees

Hi I have ab 18x52' intex above ground pool with klear saltwater system, but I have algae in the bottom of the pool, please tell what to do to clean it without emptying the pool, and can i use any...

Get ready for a full weekend of cleaning your pool :) This is the chemical free method...
1st... Start with a clean filter...So clean your filter...
2nd.. Vacuum your pool and get most of the algae up from the bottom and sides.. Go slow so you do not stir up the algae. Make sure you use the vacuum attachment with brushes..
3rd..Clean your filter...
4th...repeat step 2 again...
5th... Clean your filter...
6th... Brush your pool with a pool brush to loosen the remaining algae..
7th... Set your pump timer for 12 hrs and your chlorinator for 10 to 11 of those hrs... and run for 3 days...
8th.. Check your water and see if has cleared and the algae is almost completely gone.. If so, check your free chlorine level and adjust your cycle down if at the required level..
9th.. if your chlorine level is not at optimal, run at the 12 hr cycle for 3 more days and check..
10th.. After water is clear and free of algae, clean your filter and adjust your cycle down to control your free chlorine level...
Good luck and hope this method works for you.. It has for me for over 2 years with my Intex Salt Water system...
Please take the time to rate me and write a comment... really appreciate!!!

Jacuzzi Laser II: Problem with the Heater/filter setting. The jets come on when it's on this setting. When I turn it to Filter setting it's fine..when I turn it off the jets come back on What gives?

The jets will run while in the filtration / heating mode. If the spa is in the middle of the filtration cycle, the jets will stay on until the cycle time runs out. So, if the spa jets are on during this time, they are on for the full duration, 2-6 hours every 12. You can cycle the jet button to high, but when you try to turn them off, they will just go back on low.
