Built in australia with our commodores
2006 Chevrolet Lumina Royale

cant see any original factory 6 cd stackers for sale in Australia anywhere
better to upgrade to a better after market unit

these CD stacker units do wear out /dry solder /corrosion /diodes

is this the factory cd stacker player that came with that model
..is this unit in the boot
only thing is check all the currents volts to the stacker
make sure the stacker has an individual earth wire

i think there may be a fuse located on one of the wires thats attached to the radio itself, you will have to pull the radio to check it

SOURCE: 2006 Mazda 6 Power windows and Mirrors not working?

Hi, I have the same problem in my car which is a Mercedes c180 which I might have the solution for the problem. I have traced the problem to the window control module which is found under the interior door panel. you would need to do a test to verify it is similar to my problem. Remove the fuses from the fuse box that corresponds with the windows that are faulty for a few seconds, then replace the fuse which should reset the control module. If it is the same problem as mine the windows will work temporary, which I believe is a faulty window control module. Please let me know how you go.

SOURCE: power lock cd/radio keyless entry not working

There aren't any fuses or relays for your problem, it must be taken to the dealer or other shop that has the special tool to do it to be reprogrammed. It's not a tool you want to purchase for casual use, it's called a "DRB III" and costs around $8,000. I have the directions to do it if you would still like them let me know.

SOURCE: I have Pontiac G6 2006, I have a code P0014,

You dont say what engine you have so I ASSUME its the 4 cylinder??? I dont know what your car needs because I dont know what has been checked, but even the wrong viscosity engine oil or low oil level can cause this code. Or it could be a cam sensor problem. I would have a professional repair shop check it out and recommend repairs.

Engine noise 3 6 v6 engine

This is possibly due to the knocking tendency during cold start. This usually happens if the oil used is of higher viscosity than the recommended value. Try changing the oil with the recommended one; and if the problem still persists, this could be due a minor leak in the head gasket or due to an excessive clearance between the piston and the cylinder, which would be sealing automatically when the engine warms up.

2006 Avalon..6 CD Player displays Error code 4...what can be done!!!

It depends on what you are trying to use that gives you the code. Error Code 2006 with Outlook seems to arise when you try to sync with Outlook 2007 not running. Open Outlook 2007 and then try to sync.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Battery went dead had to jump start, now cd player wont work on 2006 mercedes

It should be in the manual supplied with the car. If not call mercedes and give them your vin, reg private detail etc and if you get a nice person, problem will be solved. It happen to me, but not a merc that you gladly own. I'm n battery not sure about this advice but a merc uses a high voltage and you may need a new battery.

I doubt the two problems are connected. I would try a new gas cap and see what happens since it runs fine. The service engine soon light won't reset on it's own right away.

The code is sometimes written in the manual for the sound system. If not, a visit to the dealer to recode it may be required.

How do I change my car computer on a Cheverolet Lumina V6?

Most computers or ECM's are located on the passenger floorboard behind the right kick panel on the side by the door or against the firewall, under the carpet on hondas! On chevy trucks they are usually behind the glove box. Check both places but try the pass compartment first. Should be a silver metal box with several different color wires plugged into it on two sides opposite each other.Prob. about a 12"x 12" box that should maybe have a sticker that says ECM maybe noyhing. Just unfasten the computer, unplug the wires and reverse the operation to install. But make sure you unhook your battery cable before you begin. Good luck

Even if your car has a little over the mileage, it's almost a sure bet they will buy the repair. If the service dept says no, go to the regional office an rattle their cage a little.
Good luck....Give the folks at Fixya some feedback if I'm doing anyone any good, I need some "ATTABOY's to build up the rep you know! All kidding aside, if you feel I've helped, the folks at Fixya would like to know.
