SOmetimes it is different and depends on the quality and kind of metal , If lime in it by a hard object with soft exterior as much as possible to knock out lime (sometimes it can be flakes), add descaling agent or vinegar or sodium carbonate , citric and let stand for 24 hours then thoroughly cooking again out with clean water
Then continue to use

Clean my aeg hg795540xb glass gas hob

Customer always needs to follow the manufacturer's instructions about cleaning and maintaining the appliance. If there are some ambiguities then you should contact an authorized service center. I personally believe that it is not a good idea to clean hob with steam cleaner.

6.3 Cleaning the hob
• Remove immediately: melted plastic,
plastic foil, and food with sugar. If not,
the dirt can cause damage to the hob.
• Remove when the hob is sufficiently
cool: limescale rings, water rings, fat
stains, shiny metallic discoloration.
Clean the hob with a moist cloth and
some detergent.
After cleaning, rub
the hob dry with a soft cloth.
• To clean the enamelled parts, cap
and crown, wash them with warm
soapy water and dry them carefully
before you put them back.

How to fix a kettle when the power switch switches off before boiling point?

There can be several causes. In many cases the power switch is thermo or current tripped, It is like a thermo circuit breaker.

The power switch itself may have to be changed.
The element is pulling too much current.
The thermostat may be defective.

Contact the manufacture to find out where you can buy spare parts to try. You will require the proper connectors, and crimp tools to work inside of these. Also, you will require a sound knowledge of how these appliances work, and the safe way of servicing them.

Because of the way you asked the question, I would think you are not familiar with how to service these devices. I would suggest to give the kettle to a service rep, or to purchase a new one. There are safety issues when servicing appliances.

I boiled the kettle dry and it now has brown spots on it. Can I restore it to its beautiful finish

It must have been badly over heated. Check at the local hardware store for cleaners that can clean over heated metal surfaces.

I turned on the cordless electric kettle without water! the metal rod inside the kettle turned black? was it burnt? i tried boiling water again and it worked. but is the metal rod toxic or not? can i still...

Yes, if your worried, use a fine emory paper to clean off the tarnish from the heat scorch. You may have shortened the life a little on the element but it is fine as long as it is not spalling, of flaking.

Sapper alessi kettle

I bought new pitch pipes for my kettle and they came with directions. The directions from Alessi say to push the old ones out from underneath (part of the whistle that rests inside the kettle when it is closed) with a flat head screw driver. When installing the new ones, they say to only use your finger to push them in from the top, using only the eraser end of a pencil if you need to push with something. Mine were very loose, however. Also, the side with M1 or S1 etched into the brass part of the whistle should go lettered-end down into the brass tubes.
