The magnetron thermal protector probably shut the oven down. Magnetrons don't like it when their load impedance is too low (empty oven or popcorn) and they get quite warm. Operating an oven empty also shortens the life of the magnetron.

My new LG solardome MA3884vc overheats melamine plate @30 seconds

If your LG Solardome microwave oven is overheating a melamine plate within 30 seconds, there could be a few potential issues at play:
  1. Power Settings: Check to see if the power settings on your microwave are too high. If it's set to a high power level, it can cause certain materials, like melamine, to overheat quickly. Try reducing the power level and see if that helps.
  2. Plate Material: Melamine plates are not suitable for use in microwave ovens as they can overheat and potentially release harmful chemicals into your food. It's recommended to use microwave-safe dishes made of glass, ceramic, or microwave-safe plastic.
  3. Microwave Performance: If the microwave is consistently overheating items within such a short time frame, it might indicate a malfunction. In this case, it's best to contact LG customer support or a certified technician to inspect and repair the microwave.
  4. Placement and Usage: Ensure that the plate is placed centrally on the turntable and not touching the sides of the microwave. Also, avoid using the microwave for extended periods without interruption, as this can cause overheating.
  5. Testing with Different Materials: Try using a microwave-safe ceramic or glass plate to see if the issue persists. If other materials heat up quickly as well, it could indicate a problem with the microwave itself.

Where is the serial number on my galanz microwave air fryer ?

They are usually at the rear where the power lead goes in. This will state the maker, the address, the voltage and watts, the model number and serial number. That is a statutory requirement. In some circumstances they are in the door frame rebate but not so common where heat is involved.

My Microsoft says H97 and won't start running and goes back to H97.

The "H97" error means that the microwave's inverter has shorted out and does not work any more. The microwave cannot transfer power to create heat, and the part has malfunctions and requires replacement. Use your microwave serial number and Panasonic customer service to find the proper part for the microwave.

Error code H98

Hello

Unplug the microwave and plug it back in after 30 seconds to make sure the message did not appear because of a simple glitch. If it does not come up again, use the microwave as normal.

The "H98" error means that the microwave's inverter has shorted out and does not work any more. The microwave cannot transfer power to create heat, and the part has malfunctions and requires replacement. Use your microwave serial number and customer service to find the proper part for the microwave.

Your microwave comes with a warranty that will cover the inverter if the warranty is still valid. Call the number for the warranty department or bring the microwave, with receipt, back to the store you purchased it from. This will save you the hassle of replacing the par

I have a GE JVM1190 Microwave Oven. It's sounds

It's cooking when it shouldn't, but the internal cooling fan is not running, so the magnetron is overheating, which can kill it.

Then when it gets hot enough, it trips the magnetron's thermostat, interrupting all power to the microwave. When it cools, it comes back on.

If and when an oven is coming on or doing anything by itself, this is very dangerous and can result in a fire.

So until it is repaired, please leave it unplugged or leave the door open when it's not in use, and of course one should never leave a microwave unattended while cooking.

The problem is almost certainly that the power relay on your control circuit board is shorted.

We regularly repair such control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid with a one-year guarantee.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number from the tag on the unit) for more free information & help.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Microwave work for 2 minut and turns off and after 5min its turns back on and do same thing

If it goes dead for a while during or after cooking then comes back on, the magnetron is probably overheating and causing the magnetron thermostat to open.

Then when it cools, it closes the circuit and allows power through again.

An overheating magnetron can be due to:
  • operating oven without cover(s) in place
  • wrong magnetron installed in oven
  • an old or otherwise failing magnetron
  • cracked magnetron magnet
  • improper power line voltage (US homes should be 110-125VAC)
  • foods low in moisture (popcorn & bacon, e.g. - add 1/2 cup of water in rear oven)
  • failed or inoperable cooling fan or hood vent exhaust fan
  • deteriorating foam weatherstripping seals in air ducts or on outside cover
  • blocked air vents (dust, animal nest debris, insufficient free air space behind & around oven, etc.)
  • clogged or greasy charcoal filter or grease filter
  • blocked duct in hood vent exhaust
I would suspect a failure or the fan, clogged filter or bad magnetron.

You didn't mention your brand or model number, so I'm limited to general advice.

Microwave made a loud pop, won't heat, sounds like it's only on half power, makes a low intermittent hum

This is almost certainly a blown high voltage diode.

Please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.
