Try the SD card in your computer, see if it is corrupted. If not, copy the files off of it and then re-format it - then try it in your phone.
If that does not work, try a fresh SD card in the phone (maybe borrow one?)
If that fails too, it may well be that the internal SD card reader in the phone has gone bad.

The LG800G works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work with this phone. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

maybe because your phone don't recognize your SD card anymore. try to put your SD card to other phone and try if the other phone recognize your SD card, if the other phone don't recognize your SD card, the problem is in your SD card. you should buy a new SD card if that's the case. Also try to put a different SD card on your phone and you'll see your phone will recognize the different SD card.

Basically there are two types of SD Cards variant available in the market, they are normal SD card and SDHC card(High Capacity) card..

Mornal SD card can be detected by all the card reader, but if you have a SDHC card, it can de detected by normal card reader , you should need a special SDHC certified card reader, so you wont able to read the SDHC card from your card reader

If you have the following logo present over the card, then it states that, you have a SDHC card..

This phone can only recognize memory up to 2GB... your 4 gig is to large and your phone wont recognize sdhc card........ replace card with a standard 2 GB micro SD card and enjoy.

take out your sd card, along with your batterry and sim card, put all but the sd back together turn on, then put the sd card back in, if this does not work, you either have te wrong card or your phone has a fault. or you can go to settings and try to find the card in the list.

the contacts on the card or phone might be dirty or the sd might de formatted in a format that the phone wont reconize

try the 4gb card in a camera or phone. If the card is formatted in fat, it wont be recognized as the fat has a gb limit under 4 I believe. May want to reformat it in a camera or phone with fat32

cause it doesnt come with sd lol it comes with 10mb built in u have to buy sd if ya want more memory
