There are a few things that could have happened when you dropped the hard drive. Try the following:

• Open up the hard drive case and remove the hard drive from the case.
• Purchase an external Hard Drive Docking Station or another external case and install the hard drive
• Or, open up your computer case and hook the drive up like normal to a SATA port
• See if the computer recognizes the drive this way
• You might need to go into Computer Management and assign a drive letter to the hard drive.
