SOURCE: GoVideo DVR4175. The buttons on the unit will not

most likely YES. sounds like you have entered the unit into child lock mode. refer to your user manual to find the unlock sequence

Testimonial: "That is exactly what it was. Accidently hit that childlock button on the remote. Thanks so much."

How do I operate the player without remote control as product has no up and down arrows and I want to watch the disc in English which is second down on the list

It sounds like you are trying to operate a player without a remote control and you want to watch a disc in English which is the second option on the list. Here are some steps you can try to operate the player without a remote control:
  1. Check the player's manual: Look for the manual of the player, it may have instructions on how to operate the player manually.
  2. Check the player's buttons: Look for buttons on the player such as power, play, pause, stop, forward, and backward. These buttons may allow you to control the player manually.
  3. Check the player's menu: Look for a menu button on the player. Pressing this button may bring up options for changing the language or other settings.
  4. Check for a button on the screen: Some players may have a touch screen with virtual buttons that allow you to control the player.
  5. If the player has a USB or HDMI port you can use an external remote control by plugging it to the player.
It's important to note that the specific steps to operate the player without a remote control will vary depending on the make and model of the player. The best way to find out how to operate your player without a remote control is to consult the player's manual or reach out to the manufacturer for assistance.

How do i program my remote

Hello;

Without knowing the codes for the specific brand names and models of your devices, this is how you program the Zenith MBR3447 for your TV, VCR, DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver:

TV

1. Push the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "TV" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the TV's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the TV fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the TV does shut off. Each time the "Power" button is pressed the Zenith MBR3447 tries using a different TV device code from its code library to turn the TV off. Therefore, when the TV finally does shut off it's an indication that the remote is temporarily programmed with the correct device code to control the brand of TV you're using.
6. Press "Enter" to save the current code.

VCR

1. Push the "Power" button on the VCR to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "VCR" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the VCR's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the VCR fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the VCR does shut off. Then press "Enter."

DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver

1. Push the "Power" button on the device your programming the remote to control to manually turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "AUX" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the device's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the device fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the device does shut off. Then press "Enter."

I turn on the power and before I can set the temperature I get a flashing "err" message and can't do anything.

You are not alone. We have the same problem. Unit worked fine for 2-3 years. We still have the manual. This is not a user error- we know how to use it. The sensor switch is fine- it would not power on without that working ok.

The red power light comes on, and when we turn it ON it says "200" for about 2-3 seconds... then "Err". Nothing is possible after that, the unit has to be powered off.

We can push Temp Mode and start setting the temp higher but after 2 seconds it just goes to Err. It does not matter what buttons you push- you don't have to push anything at all and it says "Err". Reset button does nothing- this is not a heat temp overload issue. This unit worked at Thanksgiving, and then not at Christmas! We tried powering it on 10-20 times... nothing. Then the next day as we were about to put the turkey in the oven I tried the fryer again... and presto it worked fine!!! Now today it does not work again. Tried it 10 times, no go. Unit was stored in pantry (in house) so it is not a cold/warmup issue. I think it is something messed up in the electronics- a weak solder joint, a bad chip, who knows. It's like the unit fails a "power on self test". Unfortunately, I do not have a solution yet. Don't want to buy another Masterbuilt for sure... only use this 1-2 times a year. Will share if I find anything.

Ilo dvd player/recorder

I think you are out of luck, unless you can find someone else who owns one, and will let you use their controller to program a learnable remote. I have purchased, and returned dozens of universal remotes...not one has worked.

Cant change channels

Your in the video mode so you have to change the input. On the original remote, its the button left of the power button. A universal may not work for this. If you need the original remote, Its available at http://www.remotes.com Good Luck
