My washing machine is filling with water then pauses then drains but dose nothing eles. Wat is the problem?

Either the drain hose is or the pump could be clogged or plugged.Or it needs a new drain hose or a new pump for your washing machine.

On Most washing machines there is an air valve on the rear of the drum and they can get clogged and the machine thinks there is water already in the drum... Just needs cleaning out.

Stopped up or defective drain pump, or water valve either screens clogged or defective

Have you moved your machine recently ? It sounds like it could be the drain outlet hose that is too low and the water is syphoning away If your machine dose not fill within a preset time it will stop. Is there any error codes or flashing lights.If water is going into the machine and the tub is not filling check that the end of the drain outlet hose is no lower than the centre of the door.

Either a broken drive belt or a failed transmission.

pull shafe out it is likly broken to find out between timer and shaft look to see if timer move by itself and if it does sorry u have broken shaft

Check the motor brushes and belt.

Remove the motor, and check the brushes in the motor, if o/k, then could be a board prob, or something as simple as a broken or bad connection.

basic engineering princaples water will take the easiest path, if your drain is lower than the washing machine fill level it will run through the machine to the drain. raise the drain pipe to above the top level of the drum that should do it. otherwise you have a faulty wiring and your drain pump is on all the time.

there may be some loose connection between the board and the rotating drum.....try to fix it properly
