BMW 740li car won't start. Already changed fuel pump, relay, and fusses 57 and 17. Current doesn't seem to reach the fuel pump. What could possibly be the problem?

Have you checked the spark and injector pulse

fuel pump fuse is fuse no35 30A
or fuse no 40 20A
fuel pump relay is incorperated in the fuse box which is located behind glovebox

check tank selector switch

Hey man if you already changed out the relay i would try changing your fuel pump and sending unit that should stop both of your problems.

you have spark at the plugs ..thats something

spray stay you mug
into the throttle body see if the motor will cough

tank needs draining and have fresh fuel
fuel pump has a filter and fuel relay

crack the fuel line connection to the rail to see if there is fuel reaching the rail and correct pressure

if sitting 6 years.. not being run regularly
do a compression test
lifters may be stuck
rings may have lost tension

Probably not the filter, the Fuel Pump is located under the Back Seat.

change the fuel filter this may be dirty .if it has done 130,000 miles change the pump

Hi, you should start by checking all your fuses,if they are all good ,check fuel pump relay, if this is ok , check fuel filter, if filteris good ,you should run a fuel presure text, this will determine if your fuel pump is ok, good luck.......

i would check the fuse for the fuel pump and the relay.
