They often begin buzzing when the oil inside them gets old or evaporates from a cracked housing. It needs replacing however be very careful. Flyback have 50000 to 100000 volts in them even when the tv is off. There is a safety discharge procedure however if you are not familiar with replacing a flyback do not attempt it yourself. FLYBACK TRANSFORMERS CAN SEVERLY INJURE OR KILL YOU.

First off you gotta tell us whats the right model and make as you have two listed here and both of these flybacks are avail. trough http://www.partstore.com. The parts are not listed online but get the toll free # or leave a message for them to get back to you. Now A flyback is not a user replaceable part for starters. It is soldered in and theres very high voltage inside these sets even after they are unplugged, and its not adviseable to replace a hi-voltage part in a set, unless you know the issues involved with replacing such parts. Good Luck

Lets try something before you call for a second opinion, with the tv ON and the problem showing hit the top and side of the tv,if the picture somehow reacts or corrects itself when you hit it call someone else and tell them what the problem is and that you feel it has a loose conection, dont have to tell them about the first estimate. Dont hit the tv with a hammer, just with the palm of your hand.Is worth the try. Good luck.
