My 1991 chevy s10 2.5l want crank it's getting red spark

run the fault codes and check for cam/crank sensors. check operation of immobiliser. check fob key battery
check for ING fuse or fusible link near battery

See if your getting spark,If not its probably the crank or cam sensor.

Spark or fuel. Start with spark. There are inexpensive little test lights that will let you know if you're getting spark. If you have spark, start looking for a problem in your fuel system. Do you hear the pump kick on when you turn on the key before you start cranking? Is its air choked off? In line fuel filter that could be clogged? Fuel pressure? Injectors firing? Start with the easy stuff and rule out possibilities one-by-one until you find what's keeping the engine from getting spark, air, or gas.

You say it is getting gas, do you know for sure that gas is getting past the injectors ? And do you have normal fuel pressure, compression, and spark at the plugs ?

You need to find out if the fuel pump is working, getting gas up to the engine.
If the pump is working and seen to have good fuel pressure, check ignition by checking for spark.. To work, the engine needs, you know, gas, air, spark, and compression. Why people say, check for gas, check for spark.

It can be faulty or dirty spark plug itselfd.Also for reference get the fuel level checked.Is the fuel tank is empty or near to empty.
Try cleaning the spark plugs and then see if that is helpin.On some cases the black carbon layer gets collected on the spark plugs and that causes the problem,so cleaning the plugs help.But if its not helping,then spark plug has to be replaced.Spark plugs get power from ignition coil to ignite sparks.If ignitioncoils are faulty then also there will no spark.--------------

As with any no start issue, you will need to figure out if you are not getting spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors to proceed.
Check those issues and let us know what you find out.

This is an all too common problem with the Cavalier and other GM J-body cars. Usually it is because of the crankshaft position sensor or the harness going between it and the DIS (aka ignition module). Without the DIS seeing a signal from the crank sensor, it doesn't know when to trigger fuel and spark.

Sometimes this can also be caused by a faulty ignition switch. The switch will allow you to "crank" the car, but it doesn't make the proper connections for the ignition system, so the car never actually runs.

The previously indicated oil pressure switch could also be causing the problem, but if you hear your fuel pump run then it's OK.

Hopefully this helps. If not, your Cavalier is as messed up as mine and probably not worth fixing.

checked ur coils

whaddya mean seems like no spark. There's no such thing as "seems like no spark. There either is or isn't and it's easy to tell. remove spark plug lay against good ground and crank. you'll see it for crissse sake.

Not getting gas is a fuel delivery problem, fuse, pump, or relay.

On sunday pray for it. all the other days cuss it out.
