Hi there: Playing video from iPad to tv using Apple tv. The Apple tv icon disappears.

And using Appletv 2nd Generation Media Center to various brand tv's. After playing one video, the iPad disconnects itself from Apple tv, and I have to reconnect again. Annoying, but not as bad as the fact that often, the Apple tv icon completely disappears from the iPad, and only Airplay icon is left, and I have to fiddle around trying to get the Apple tv icon back, so that I can play the next video on the tv. It eventually reappears after a few minutes, or sometimes not at all until much later. Can you advise what I am doing wrong, or perhaps there is a step that I am missing. I have tried changing the airplay options, turning the play video off and then on, etc. It does eventually come back most times, but sometimes it takes so long I just give up, as I have a people waiting around.

The garbage can icon right hand corner on my Generation 2 I-Pad for deleting photos disappeared how do I get it back on screen?

Hi,
Look in Photos, and click on "Albums" on the bottom of that screen, then scroll all the way down.
There is a new "Recently Deleted" icon at the very bottom.

Am a beginner with a new ipad, have it working, but do not know where to go from there ?

Depending on what you want to use it for, you can download various apps from the Apple App store. You can basically tap on any of the icons on the screen and check them out also. To reach the internet, you have to tap the Safari icon.

How to pair tv with tablet

Hi Thomas

Pair usually refers to "Pairing" bluetooth devices.
The trouble is... Bluetooth is a slow medium for movie transfer and is limited to around 10 meters (yards)
I used to use an adapter which plugged in to the iPad and the HDMI cable plugged in to the other side of the adapter. Then the HDMI was connected to a Digital TV HDMI input.
But that was way back on iPad 1. (2009)
Now days it's a lot easier.
Simply swipe up from the screens bottom. That reveals the AirPlay icon if you are using the $69 Apple TV2. The ATV is connected to the HDTV via a HDMI cable. Simple & works Great!

An App called Air Video HD on the Tablet allows you to choose a Hard Drive Video File for play back on your HDTV.
The Air Video HD developer provides a free piece of Server software for installation on the computer. This is used to point to the Movie files and serves video to HDTV via the App.

I just noticed you didn't mention which tablet you have, so I guess the above would only apply with iPad. Android would take a different approach depending on what version your using and what hardware platform you have.

Good Luck

How do i update my 56gb first gen iPad

Unfortunately the old technology of the 1st and soon to be 2nd generation iPads do not support the current updates from Apple. This is Apple's way of forcing you to purchase a new iPad.
