Vizio E500i-B1 screen jumbled up, can hear sound but picture looks terrible, any ideas what board would control that?

for your VP50, it could just be simple as a power supply but it could also means more. Do you have the amber LED light when off and green when on? if so, try the main board first. If that doesn't resolve the problem, then change the sustainer boards.

If you received a remanufactured board it might be defective,Or did you forget to hook back up the speakers? Sounds dumb but happens alot. Speaker wires get in the way,we disconnect them to look at a board or replace one.Often gets over looked.But I have received several defective boards.Hope this helps. Toddthetvmd

The T'con board [Timing Control Board] of your TV has damaged.

The board will look like this. Will be in a shelded case which you can open it by unscrewing it, and can take out the board. Replacing it is a semi-skilled job indeed. You can buy this board from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town, or from the authorised service center for Vizio at your town. Never use a refurbished bord in place, as it may make damage to other boards. If you want its service manual, not user manual, you have to buy one amoung my pro service from Fixya.
