SOURCE: Drier does not tumble but it still heats.

Hi,

Sound like the belt being broken or slipping badly, burn out motor, or worn support parts.

  • Dryer have a belt that rotate the drum, If the belt worn out or broken, it can not move the drum then you just need to replace it.
  • You can check motor by hearing buzzing sound, if the belt has the problem. If you do not hear any sound from the motor then you may have to replace it.
  • Try to move drum manually (by hand), if it is hard to turn then problem with the idler pulley, glides, or drum rollers.
I hope this will solve you problem

Good luck and have a nice day
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

SOURCE: TUMBLE DRIER STOPPED HEATING

Gas dryer?

If so, probably bad gas solenoid valves. They can safely be replaced without fear of releasing gas. Two phillips screws, two pull off wire plugs. That's it. Cost about $30 bucks depending on where you buy them. They are a universal part and will fit 99.9% of machines.

My Candy 7.5kg 1400 AAA washer/drier. How do I clean fluff which may gather from the drier of my machine.

It doesn't generate fluff, it uses evaporation to dry the clothes.
If it did, that instruction would be in your user manual.

A tumble drier should only be used to dry clothes that have been through a hydro extractor (spin drier) first. They are not designed to put wet washing in. Dripping wet washing must first be wrung out or else the excess water will run out the bottom. If it is a washer/extractor, look for leaking pipes or door gasket.

My hotpoint tumble dryer plug is very hot and making my socket hot to is it a fault with my dryer as scared incase it causes a fire .It is 2 years old.

It is normal for a plug to get slightly hot, but it is more likely to be a problem with the plug or the socket if it is getting excessively hot, and less likely to be a problem with the drier.
Firstly inspect the plug pins, are they discoloured? If so have the plug replaced.(You can cut the moulded plug off and fit a quality plug)
Try a different socket if you can.
I assume the drier is working normally, but you should not put excessively wet loads in the drier as it will be on for too long. Make sure the clothes are as dry as possible that will reduce the time the drier is on.

White knight 767 tumble drier

If the rug was very heavy you could have burnt up the motor. If it will restart after it cools off, replace the motor and clean out the vent system.

Good luck.
