If you can buy a new body and screen then it is possible to replace them but working on micro-electronics can be tricky and the cleanliness required to replace the screen is difficult to achieve.

It would be better to entrust your phone to your local phone doctor for guaranteed results.

How to replace lcd on env touch vx11000

This one is VERY tricky. I wouldn't let anyone touch it unless they had a lot of experience taking apart phones and putting them back together. Basically, the LCD screen (all LCD screens) is stuck on your phone by a really strong adhesive sticker. I DO NOT recommend trying to pry it off because it will only break or crack a screen. What you have to do is unscrew those tiny little screws that connect the surrounding body of the phone to the LCD screen, then pop off the body of it. Then, CAREFULLY unstick the screen, replace it, and put it back together.

Same problem as yours with p990i

1/ back up the phone to a pc
2/ control panel/other master reset
3/ should this not work you are looking at a new screen

I have had software issues with commands (Wireless LAN/screens and keyboard) all of which have been resolved by resetting the phone.

After you have done this connect to the sony/ericsson site and download the software update tool to ensure you've got the latest stuff.

New screen search the web in your local country for phone repairs and get a few quotes. Ensure the quote includes insurance for replacement of phone (at today's market value - not the value they apply). I've had screens replaced on 900 and 910.

Help me please!!!!!!

If the entire phone still works (make and receive calls, recharges, etc), then you probably just need a new screen. Two basic options:

  1. Buy the screen and do the replacement yourself. Usually about $50 or a little more (depends on your shipping and if they include the tools). You can find videos online for how to do the repair.
  2. Have someone do the replacement for you. When my phone broke, the following place did the repair: http://www.mobile-device-repair.com. They had it fixed in under a week, did a great job, and it was just $75 total. A lot cheaper than buying a new phone and I didn't have to worry about screwing it up by doing it myself.
Hope that helps.

Dead screen

To replace that cable you have to disassemble the entire phone including the keyboard, screens and the lower part, then buy a new flex cable (this includes the keyboard, keyboard backlight, backlight driver, cover sensor, screen cable and connectors. all of this is part of one flex cable) and replace it.
You have a 70% chance of breaking the new cable even before getting the phone reassembled.

Earpiece

This can happen after a while with this phone (I have one) best bet is to buy a new oem shell which includes all external components including cover, entire phone body in red, black, or white, etc Actually quite cheap only around $15 on eBay.
