Check your fuel pressure at idle and when at higher rpm while not driving. You can usually borrow a pressure tester from an auto supply store. The place to test it will be on the fuel injection rail on top of the intake manifold. I would buy a Haines manual too.

What happens when your bmw528i battery is dead and you replace it with a bmw 3201 battery and it is moving slow and when pressing the gas it is not accelerating.
When the alternator on my 528i went out I noticed that when the battery was low it would act like this. However, after charging the battery several hours the car would run fine until the battery was below 25% charge. Solution would be have battery and alternaor checked and replace if needed.
