Nearly
all bean bag chair covers are machine washable. The filling is usually held
together by a lining and the cover goes outside the lining and can be removed
and washed.
First, check the power with a volt meter on the receptacle you are plugged into. (or plug a lamp into the receptacle and make sure it turns on. believe it or notI have seen this many times) If power is fine, then remove the back of the chair (with the cord unplugged) and stabilize the back of the chair as the wires hang from the back of the chair to the chair itself. Plug back in your chair and check power to the on/off switch on the back of the chair, if you have power there then it gets a little more complicated. Again, unplug the chair, remove the black plastic cover on the lower left of the chair that covers the main circuit board. You should see a soldered in fuse, use an ohm meter and check the fuse for continuity. If it reads good or "shorted" then you are past my knowledge in this matter. Hope I could be of some assistance.
Laura If the joystick buttons are in a rubber cover you can carefully peel back the cover around the on/off button and glue a small piece of tin foil to the bottom of the on/of switch, support the cover with something like an ice cream stick until the glue dries. After it is dry carefully put the cover back down and press around the switch to seat the cover. should work alot easier for him. Then you can order just a joystick overlay kit to replace the old one if you want to Hope this helps
Steve Make sure that you have battery voltage first. If you have a digital voltmeter set it to 200 volts dc amd plug the leads into the 2 outer charger port holes located under the front of the joystick. Fully charged you should be reading 26-27 volts. If you have no reading at all check the cable to make sure it is plugged into the rear of the chair. if you have a good reading then you have another problem. The switch on the joystick uses a metallic coating on the bottom to engage the circuit board switch. If this is worn then it could be giving you the problem. we can cheat and you will have to slowly peel back the faceplate cover on the joystick until you can see the bottom of the on/off switch then support the cover above the joystick with a pencil and glue a small piece of foil to the bottom of the switch leaving it supported until the glue dries, trim the foil to fit the switch bottom and slowly replace the faceplate cover. then try to turn the chair on it should come on if it doesn't then you will have to ge the chair checked for other problems hope this helps
Check your cables from the joystick to the controller to make sure it didn't come unplugged. Do you have an on-board charger or an off-board? If you have a digital voltmeter set it to 200v dc and plug the two leads into the two outter charger port holes under the front of the joystick You should be reading 24-27 volts. If you don't get any reading then you have a connection problem or broken wire from the joystick to the chair. If you get a good reading then try carefully peeling back the faceplate cover near the on/off button Once you have the circuit board revealed under the on/off switch take a small screwdriver and lightly rub across the circuit board. If everything else is fine then the chair should turn on. under the switch button there is a metallic covering that makes contact with the circuit board if this get worn the switch won't turn on. Now you can order a faceplate for your chair but a quick fix is to glue a small piece of aluminum foil to the bottom of the switch button let it dry and then reglue the faceplate back to the joystick. Hope this helps you
