I have a deLonghi DW67S/W dishwasher displaying an E3 fault code.
After startup it pumps out water, pumps in new water, then nothing happens, just a quiet buzzing sound, then after a few minutes the E3 code comes up. The code first showed when the wash was mid cycle. I paused the wash and the water was cold. I am a handyman and can fix it if you can identify the problem. Grateful thanks.

Error code E3 on a Hobart LXiH sanitizer/dishwasher typically indicates a problem with the water fill system. Here are a few things you can check to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Water supply: Make sure that the water supply to the dishwasher is turned on and that there is adequate water pressure. Check for any kinks or blockages in the water supply line.
Water inlet valve: The water inlet valve controls the flow of water into the dishwasher. Check to see if the valve is open and that there is no debris blocking the inlet. If the valve is faulty, it will need to be replaced.
Water level sensor: The water level sensor is responsible for detecting the water level in the dishwasher. If the sensor is not working properly, it can cause the dishwasher to display an E3 error code. Check the sensor for any signs of damage or debris.
Water pump: The water pump is responsible for pumping water into the dishwasher. If the pump is not working properly, it can cause the dishwasher to display an E3 error code. Check the pump for any signs of damage or debris.
Control board: The control board manages all the electrical functions of the dishwasher. If the control board is faulty, it can cause the dishwasher to display an E3 error code. In this case, the control board will need to be replaced.
The E3 error code is not a defined error for this dishwasher. If you are sure it is E3 then best option is to give the controller a reset. This is done by
Press the Delay Start + Normal + Power keys at the same time for two seconds to enter Service Inspection Mode.
- "ALL" is displayed for the first three (3) seconds and then "t1" is displayed.
Press OFF at this stage. Do not attempt to run the inspection as this could damage the dishwasher unless you are familiar with the what each mode does.
If the Error E3 keeps coming back then call the Samsung technician.
the E3 error is a result of water temperature not getting to a nominal value within a particular time. This could be caused by several factors like heater faulty, wash pump not working well, wash arms not circulating water as required. Need model number to help you further pin point if possible.
My DW67s also did this. I assume they are very similar models. According to the instruction manual, E3 means longer than usual water heating time or water not heating.
The heating element is not like the conventional one like what
resembles the element in an electric oven. Instead, the element wraps
around a water pipe and heats the water while one of the pumps
circulates the water. That pump can become stiff due to lack of use because of a rubber seal
which can get dry and tight if not used for long periods of time.
Ensure the machine is unplugged, tap is off and emptied of dish racks and water before
laying it on its side. Access is via the underside cover. Simply free up the
pump again by rotating it with your finger. A sensor which is screwed onto the side of the pump can be removed for finger access. If you feel much resistance
in the rotation of the pump at first, then after it becomes looser, then you
have probably solved the problem. If it is really jammed then perhaps
you have a chicken bone or something stuck in it and requires further
disassembly. If it was already freely spinning and the problem isn't solved then perhaps the water heater itself isn't working or the pump motor is burnt out or an electrical connection somewhere is faulty.
hello there i have read you review ok there is a fault coming from the water pump there is no way to fix this manully you will need to take it in for a repair witch can cost up to $50 for a new water pump
I am searching for a resolution to the E3 code (same init) and happened upon this request. The manual can be downloaded from DeLonghi.com but that advises you to call the service center.
