SOURCE: Black Bits left in machine

It sounds like you may have trash in your lines.

  1. I would turn the water supply off, and check the filter screens on the back of the washer.
  2. These screens are in the connections to the water solenoid on the back of the washer.
  3. Remove these screens, and flush.
  4. Replace screens.
  5. With these hoses off, turn the water on and flush the lines.
  6. Replace the hoses.
  7. Turn the water back on.

This should fix the problem.

SOURCE: where can I clean lint out of GE front-loader washing machine

You don't give the model number, so I can not know for sure. That being said, on newer front load GE washers there is a filter access right on the lower side of the very front of the machine. On many slightly older GE front load washers you will have to take the lower portion of the front panel off to find a filter access. On them, it is usually a bit to the right side, about an inch and a half round removable plug with filter attached. Be advised that when you take it out the remaining water from inside the machine and it's pump and hoses will also come out, so be prepared.

SOURCE: why does my washing machine leave lint on my

Most washers don't have lint traps, the dryers are expected to. In your type of top loader some simple traps would be located in the top cap of the agitator. They should be cleaned each load, but they only stop the bigger pieces.

It is a whirpoool wahser model GHW9100LW2 and it is not draing correcty, i have clean the drain hose, and read where there is some lint catching device inside the washing machine, and i read if i can get...

Hello,
That screen/filter for the drain pump is located under the lower panel below the main front panel where the door and whatnot is. Remove that panel by removing the screws from the bottom of it. On the right side at the bottom will be this big white thing, unscrew it just a little bit and have some towels ready to catch the water that will come out of it,once the water stops coming from it,unscrew it completly and pull it out and will see all sotra stuff in it blocking the water flow into the pump.Obvously once ya clean it screw it back on and reinstall that lower panel.
UNPLUG THE WASHER TILL BACK TOGETHER COMPLETLY

Good luck.

I cleaned the lint tray or catcher from the the front loader washing machine and the water still won't drain could the pump be out?

If there was a lot of junk in the catcher some of it may have moved to the drain hose.

Other than that, the drain pump is the most likely suspect here.

Washing machine lint trap

There is no trap per say. The lint catcher is self cleaning when the water is pumped out. It sounds like you are overloading it and the clothes are hitting the agitator. Operation should be agitation by water movement not beat by the plastic fins, run a wash cycle hot water no clothes to flush things out and try smaller loads.
