Im assuming its a samsung phone
Samsung cell phones come with many security features.
In addition to the common feature of preventing calls after a period of inactivity, some Samsung phones also allow you to prevent others' use of your phone's SIM chip and access to your files.
One password unlocks the various locks, except for two other passwords used for the SIM chip. The syntax of the menu items to click to reset a password differ somewhat between Samsung models but you can figure out roughly how to apply instructions for one phone to another.

Lock the phone from making calls by clicking "Start" or "Menu," "Security Settings" (or "More" and then "Security"), and "Phone Lock" or "Device Lock."
Change the password by clicking "Start" or "Menu," "Security Settings," and "Change Password." Then enter a new password.

Set the phone to work only with the current SIM chip by clicking "Menu," "Security Settings," and "SIM Lock."
Enter a new password when prompted.

Prevent unauthorized use of your SIM card by clicking "Menu," "Security Settings," and "PIN Lock." Type a new PIN when prompted.

Prohibit access to your files, messages and contact list by clicking "Menu," "Security Settings," and "Privacy Lock."
Enter the password from Step 1 when prompted to unlock access.
Reset the file lock/messages/contact password by resetting the phone lock password, as in
Step 1

If your Phone Does Not accept the Password means You need to reset the Phone from the Password Lock,Because i think You forgot the Password Code..If your is Nokia or Alcatel Mobile Phone means get the master reset code at here
Onlinegsmunlock and reset it from Security Lock or password Lock.

if you have not set any password, type 12345 as the default password and see if it will be accepted.

The Pantech phone was formerly sold by Cingular, but it is now sold by AT&T. Because it is a flip phone, the Pantech does not have a keypad lock. It does, however, have a feature to lock the device and prevent unwanted phone calls being made by other people. Locking and unlocking the phone requires you to know your password.

1. ep 1 If the main screen reads "Phone Locked," choose "Unlock" from the lower left-hand portion of the screen. Enter your password and select OK. Entering the wrong password three times will display "ENTER PUK." You will need to call customer service to resolve the issue.
   
2. Step 2 To lock the phone, choose "Menu" from the main screen. Select "Settings" and then scroll down and select "Security." Choose "Phone Lock" and press the left or right arrow on your directional pad. Press "OK" and enter your password.
   
3. Step 3 Change your password by selecting "Menu" from the main screen. Go to "Settings," then "Security," and then "Change Password." If you have not yet set a password, the default is 1234. Enter either your password or the default and press "OK." Enter your new password, press "OK," and then verify the password by re-entering it.
   

The Security feature enables you to restrict the use of your phone by others and to restrict the types of calls.
Various codes and passwords are used to protect the features of your phone.
1. From Idle mode, touch Menu ➔ Settings ➔ Phone settings.
2. Touch Security.

Lock Phone
When the Lock Phone feature is enabled, the phone is locked and you must enter the 4- to 8-digit phone password
each time the phone is switched on.
To change the phone password, refer to the next section.
Once you enter the correct password, you can use the phone until you switch it off.
1. Touch On or Off from the Lock phone field.

Change Phone Password
The Change password feature allows you to change your current phone password to a new one. You must enter the
current password before you can specify a new one.
Once you have entered a new password, you are asked to confirm it by entering it again.
1. Touch the Change phone password field.
2. Enter the current password and touch Confirm..
3. Enter a new password in the New password field and touch Confirm..
4. Enter the new password again and touch Confirm.
The password changed confirmation displays.

Note: If you change your password, be sure to write it down and keep it in a safe place. If you forget your password, your phone requires
service to have it unlocked.

the best way is that! there is a security code in the motorola set.... its 00000 or 11111..............try tht to open the fone and then remove the lock code!!
