Psp recognize then doesnt recognize battery ?

Open the battery compartment, and remove the battery.  Look at the bottom inside corner for a little square sticker with has marks on it. is it dark or light,  If it is dark, your PSP has come in contact with moisture. I suspect that your PSP has gotten wet or damp.  If the sticker is dark, you need to keep your battery out for about 2 days, and keep the UMD door open and the whole PSP kept in a dry environment.  Try it after 2 days of drying to see if it is recovered. try to insert its usb and attach it to the ON computer

if it still wont charge,try to borrow psp battery from your friend and test it. if still doesnt work, the unit itself must be the problem..try to look for sony service center near your place,if the psp unit waranty is still valid,they will repair it free.

believe it or not, if the psp works you can play it with out a battery using thee charger. Try that and see if it works at all. If it does then you may need to replace your battery, or leav it and let it charge for about 5-6 hours.

If it's 4 months old and it does not work at all you should still be under your manufacturer's warranty.

if the green light turns on but no xmb then you have a bricked psp, if so, google search pandoras battery. if the green light doesnt turn on, then wait about three hours WITHOUT TOUCHING the battery AT ALL

Take it back to retailer if he got it for xmas it's well within the 90return date.
