Those aren't fuses, they're the lights which illuminate the VU meters :)

If all the bulbs are good, it could be the multi-stalk arm switch. Jiggle the arm all around, the switch could be dusty, or lightly corroded.

If all else fails pull all fuse's that you can't check when installed.

Where is the radio fuse in a 2005 malibu & how is it labeled?

Hi Tammy, try this> The radio fuse is marked "Radio" and is a 10 amp fuse located in the Body Control Module which is on the passenger side front of the center console, where the passengers left foot would rest. The trim panel pulls off, and the BCM is behind it.

Where are the fusible links on a 95 Rodeo

The fusible links are in the fuse box located under the hood behind the battery. Pop the cover. They are little square plastic boxes with clear covers on top. They are right behind the row of fuses, in that under hood fuse box. Pull each one and check them with a test light or ohm meter. Hope this helps. I have the book if you need more info....Gar-cuda

Fuse for back up lights1

Since you have not mentioned what is the make, model, or year of your vehicle, I will give you the only ways I can think of to take care of your problem. In your glove compartment there is usually an owner's manual. If you don't have one, you can find one online by going to: www.google.com/advanced_search and entering the "this exact word or phrase:" box, the year, make, and model (followed by a space) of your car and "manual" after that. Then click on Advanced Search on the blue button (you may need to scroll down a bit to find it). Find your manual from the results of the search and find where your fuses are located. The manual should have a picture of the fuses and which one is which.
The fuses may be like the old fuses that are like a little glass cylinder with metal caps on each end. They may also be colored plastic that that you will see two blade connectors on once the fuse is pulled. There is usually a fuse puller included and mounted near the fuse panel.
In the case of the glass fuses, you can tell that it is blown because the little metal strip inside the glass looks melted; if the glass of the fuse looks black/burned, it was blown because of a short. Try placing another fuse in and if this one blows when you put the car in reverse, take it to a mechanic to find out where the short is. If the glass is clear, it simply gave up the ghost and replacing it should fix it.
BE SURE TO REPLACE THE FUSE WITH ONE OF THE SAME AMPERAGE. DO NOT REPLACE THE FUSE WITH ONE OF HIGHER AMPERAGE - IT COULD CAUSE A FIRE.

Fuses

Normal domestic/automotive fuses don't have "voltage" ratings as such. They have CURRENT ratings in amps-A or milliamps-mA (1/100 of an amp). Thus 0.5A = 500mA.

Typical car "blade" fuse ratings vary from 5A to 15, 25 or even 30A. The current rating is shown on the fuse itself or the colour of the fuse body (yellow, red, green etc). I'm not sure if their is a standard between body colour and rating in Amps.

Domestic fuse wire ratings (little used these days due to circuit breakers being used) are typically 5A for lighting and 15A for power circuits.

Cheers,

Kitski

Need to replace the turn signal flasher. the dash lites & tail lights don't work.

It is located behind the fuse block on the driver's side. When you open the drivers door you can plainly see the fuse block. (marked "FUSES") Flasher is behind that. You have to get to it from under the dash. Take out panels under steering wheel. If you get your head down by the brake pedal you can see it.
When someone changed theirs, they took out the little bracket that holds it in and relocated it to a lower place - they clipped the flasher bracket onto the little access door closest to the emergency brake (on the panel that you have to take out). Luckily the wires were long enough to enable this, so if you have to change it again, it's a lot easier.

check behind the mirror glass there are little plastic rods that are easily broken when mirror gets hit or moved manually. mirror should pop out when pulled carefully by one of corners. be careful not to put to much pressure on the glass when pulling outward
