Need owners manual for fossil Big Tic Blue JR 8624

Inside the case back on my JR-7855 is a label with the steps to take to change the batteries. The sticker says to short the pad marked "S1" with the pad marked "+". Keep doing it quickly, then check the watch facelb_icon1.png. You got it right when the seconds start to change on the face.

Here is a view at the inside of the watch. The two points you are looking for are highlighted in red.

I have a BIG TIC JR-8529. Is this model obsolete? The watch was not working properly (stopping/slowing down), so I replaced the battery. It seems fine now, but still no digital display in the background...

Since Fossil do not list their instructions under model numbers it is difficult to be sure that you rmodel still exists but if you go to their web site for instructions http://www.fossil.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ContentView?langId=10&storeId=32553&catalogId=20002&page=instructions

(click on this link to go there) and you will see some instructions for various big tic watches and you can select the one that suits yours.

The only one that I could find that had a single button above the winder used it to cahnge the colour. Pressing this button for 2 seconds will change the colour to "alternating" and the same again will produce a fixed colour. Perhaps this will make the change of display you need.

Often with watches, you need to use a pair of tweezers to short the battery case to the chassis ((often marked "ac"). This seems to be a re-set function, although I have never found an explanation for the need to do this.

If all else fails, look up their contact details and speak to them about your problem.
