try these suggestions Try these suggestions
1. Change the needle--use a needle that's for the fabric being sewed
2. Rethread the machine--top --make sure to use every thread guide
3. try a different bobbin--make sure bobbin is inserted correctly into the bobbin case, & make sure the bobbin is turned the correct way in the bobbin case
4. make sure the thread has not come off the thread take up lever
5. Clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or threads
Take out your bobbin case and examine it for nicks, scratches and or rough spots. If the problem is not too bad it may be possible to buff out the bad spot with an emery stick or emery cloth. If that isn't possible or it makes too much noise after you buff it you will have to replace it. Look especially along the edges and underneath. sewman7
If your machine is binding. It sounds like you have a threading problem. Check your manual and rethread the machine. The A is for Automatic tension I would not change that. I would also notify your dealer and see if you have thread under the bobbin case. All sewing machines should be serviced each year.
