Touch screen is not supposed to be "calibrated" by users. All my family uses touchscreen smartphones and computers and NEVER anyone mentioned the need of calibrating a touchscreen. If you have some problem with your touchscreen, it is something beyond standard devide operation and you should take it for service, if it is on warranty, to site where it should be serviced
Whoever used the term "calibrating an iPad" may have been referring to touch screen calibration.
Some touch screens need to be adjusted, or "calibrated", or the device may act as if you touched a different spot on the screen than you did. The iPad screen does not need to be calibrated. If the iPad make a mistake about what spot you touched, the error may be due to:
a defect or damage;
a screen protector;
a cold finger;
a hand that is holding the iPad and inadvertently touching the screen;
a finger that is inadvertently touching the screen.
try to soft reset it by engaging the reset button ..If it has such a button it should be hidden in a hole on the side and need to be pressed until restarts ..(it should be powered and on when you do this) .. If there is no button ..it means it has something wrong with the touch screen function ...and you should try to see if the screen is not out of focus..and try to swipe it in a certain point ..and if it is indicated..try in near by locations ...If you manage to make it start you should look in the main menu for screen calibration ..and engage it ..this should make the touch screen work proper again . In worse case you will need the firmware and reset it to factory settings ..
