SOURCE: Huskylock 430 - STOP BLADE FROM CUTTING/REMOVE BLADE

Yes, you should be able to just push in on the blade and flip it up out of the way. Page 22 of the machine's handbook shows how to change the blades, so you should be able to remove them the same way.

I know of no source for manual. Best to find someone that knows how and have them teach you. None of the youtube videos are very close to your model.

Overlocker Bernette

If this is new it will still be under guarantee so have it checked out. It sounds like a badly aligned or blunt upper blade.
Overlockers will sometimes struggle with thick fabrics and putting something to help keep the foot level to " jump the bump" will often help, discuss that with the sleasperson too.

Why wont my overlock cut

probably because the blades are blunt and out of adjustment. They are only mechanical scissors that rub each other and like ordinary scissor they become blunt. Most shops the sell or service overlockers will have replacement blades for your machine.

It sounds like there is something wrong with the electrical system in your sewing machine. You can check the power and connections.

Trimed material keeps curling up into the

perhaps you are trying to cut off too much material, rather than having the material on the edge, so the blade just neatens it up. Also, the blade may be blunt

Husky lock 509. My machine does not cut . There is something wrong with the blades

Be sure the blades are "raised" properly - did you have them lowered so you could sew without cutting? Maybe they are not locked back in place. Is the machine set for rolled hem? Re-set it for regular overlocking. Even if the blades were blunt, you should still be getting some sort of cutting happening. Blades are reasonably easy to replace yourself but getting hold of replacement blades can be tricky.
