Top left hand page corner turns over towards the front by about 1cm along each edge at random times when printing double sided. Paper is straight in cartridge. Any suggestions?

You also might want to try to flip the paper over in the tray so you are printing the other side first and also you might want to try a higher quality paper than you are using.

SOURCE: Black smudge marks along left side edge of paper.

Its probably a defective toner. If the film on the toner drum is scratched it can cause toner to stick to the drum everytime it spins causing the constant marks.

"The print cartridge cradle cannot move."
I fixed this problem by disconnecting the power cord from the power-strip and connecting it directly into the wall. My printer was not getting enough voltage from the power-strip. I hope this helps.

How do you open up a Sony rm-gd008 remote for cleaning?

  1. Maybe worth a shot, carefully thou
  2. Remove 2 * screws under battery cover
  3. front of remote: slide down the bottom cover (where rec, pause, etc option is)
  4. push both egdes of the slide area outwards, to totally remove this slide cover
  5. further more, now push both the above slide edges even more .. till bottom of (front face) cover loosens up. Whilst lifting this only a little at a time ...
  6. Gently remove /loosens only lower ends (only at this stage) of the 2 silver edge stripes... by .. lifting up (away from face of remote) ..whilst .. moving them outwards. ** i.e up, then outwards) Do not remove top edge of silver tip yet
  7. start separating left n right egdes with sharp flat point from under silver side strip, " digging" downwards towards bottom of remote
  8. At this point, the top edge of remote may be separated, but not necessary.. if you can pull insides out from bottom, PREFFERED OR .. can be done by:
  9. using flat edge - loosen/pry 1cm from corner on top tip of edge left n right digging downwards n outwards towards bottom of remote .. enough gap to use a little pressure if you must
  10. then if feasible, separate remote face .. also 1cm from right n left corner alongst each side from top corner
  11. .. now can remove silver side strip completey.
  12. Hope this helps, cheers

Can Lexmark x2470 scan and print a double sided document?

after reading the manual, http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/2400/ug_en.pdf, yes it is possible - not that it tells you how to do it though so read on.
Until you become familiar with the process just use one sheet of paper at a time in the printer.
As you know, in the scanner the top right of your document goes to the right hand front corner of the scan bed (the clear window), place the page on the scanner and scan.
Pick up the printed sheet of paper and flip it so the left hand side edge is now in your right hand and the right hand edge is now in your left hand and you are now looking at the blank side of the paper.
Insert the page back into the sheetfeeder.
Flip the page to copy in the scanner so the rearmost edge of the paper is now to the front of the scan bed and the front edge of the paper is now towards the rear (you should now be looking at the page you scanned previously).
Scan the page.
you should have now scanned both sides of one sheet of paper to another sheet of paper.
as your printer does not have a sheet feeder for the scanner you have to do the process manually. hope this helps.

Where do i plug in the power switch in the mother board

The eMachines T5274 uses an ECS 945GCT-M3 motherboard.

This is ECS Support, and the download page for the motherboard manual,

http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?DetailID=719&CategoryID=1&MenuID=16&LanID=0

To the right of the Download Site heading, (At the bottom), left-click on the country nearest yours.

This is a PDF file download. Takes a few seconds to see the first page come up, and additional time for the file to fully download.

After the file has fully downloaded, go to Page 11.
(The PDF file page number box at the top, next to the blue Down Arrow, will show 11)

In the motherboard photo shown, the number 12 points to Panel1.

This is the Front Panel header.
(The Front Panel is the plastic front of your computer. This particular connector is referred to as a Header)

Barring you cannot download the motherboard manual, I will explain in detail as I go along.

Orient the motherboard in your mind, so that we are both looking at it in the same direction.

Processor to the top, Ram Memory slots to the right, Panel1, (Front Panel header), is at the bottom Right corner, and is along the edge of the motherboard.

Page 33.
There are 2 rows of pins. One row along the top, one row along the bottom.

4 pins along the top, 5 pins along the bottom.

The Bottom row of pins are numbered Odd.
The numbering starts from the Left side of the motherboard, and goes towards the Right.

The Top row of pins are numbered Evenly.
Numbering starts from the Left side of the motherboard, and goes towards the Right.

Top row numbering of pins, starting from the Left side, going towards the Right,
2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. There is No pin 10. Just a flat spot.

Bottom row numbering of pins, starting from the Left side, going towards the Right,
1, 3, 5, 7, and 9

Page 33.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive activity LED light.

Hard Disk LED (+) The Positive wire of the HDD LED light goes to Pin 1.
The Negative wire of the HDD LED light goes to Pin 3.
More than likely if the wires are marked, only the Positive ( + ) wire will be marked. Usually with a little tag that has + symbol on it.

B) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch.
IF, a reset switch is offered on your eMachines.

Pin 7 is for the Positive wire. (+)
(It isn't necessary to have a Reset switch. It's a restart switch. Used to restart your computer, and there are many other options available)

C) Pin 9 is reserved, and not used.

D) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.
Pin 2 is for the Positive wire. (+)
(If the two wires are reversed, the Power On LED light will be dim)

E) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.
Pin 6 is for the Positive wire (+)

I need to replace a belt on my hotpoint dreyer how do i do it

Disconnect power.

Open the door and look along the front upper edge of the door opening. In the top left and right rounded corner of the door opening you will see screws going upward into the top. Remove both screws and raise the top.

Look down inside the open top dryer from above . If unbroken it should be showing across the tub from left to right. If broken you won't see a belt (about 3/8" thick). If belt is missing, proceed. On each left and right edge there will be a screw holding the front assembly to the case of the dryer. Remove 1 on each side.

The dryer front can now be pulled toward you about 3 inches at the top. Take the new belt and work it over the drum from front by lifting and rotating the drum. Lay belt on drum about 1/2 way back from front with groves down on the drum and proceed to reassemble machine by reversing disassembly procedure.

When reassembling the top, part of each underside edge of the top must go beneath a sheet metal lip located at each right and left edge of the dryer just below the control panel. If the small space between the side and top panels is wider at the back than the front you have not accomplished this alignment, try again.

Once you have the top and front back on, pull out the dryer and remove the small access panel at the back bottom. The belt must be "looped" around the motor and idler pulley like this ( http://www.applianceaid.com/images/ldrger-idler-pulley.jpg ). Slowly turn the drum around one turn to line up the belt, to make sure that it will not fall off because of being crooked or twisted.

Each time I print on plain paper the paper feeds into the machine and when it hits pinch rollers after the print head, the top right hand corner is turned over. Two pages later and the third page is so...

Follow these steps to reload paper:

  1. Flip the feeder guard forward.

  2. Remove the paper and make sure it's not curled or wrinkled.

  3. Fan the stack of paper to make sure the sheets are separated.

  4. Reload the paper against the right edge of the sheet feeder andslide the left edge guide against the other side, but not too tightly.

  5. Don't load paper above the arrow mark on the left edge guide.

  6. Make sure the printable side of the paper is facing up.

  7. Flip the feeder guard back.

  8. Once you have completed the steps above, press the cp_button_6.gif Start button.

Filmy appearance and spots on the underneath of glass

Today I opened my V200 without much problems. First unscrew the two screws under the lid. Then turn the V200 upside down. Lift the base plate up, gently, beginning at the back (a little twisting is needed). Take care not to force anything. It took me 10 minutes. Fold everything open like a suitcase, then clean the glass inside...
To close again start with the front (sort of click system)
