I don't have any idea what Carl just said, but remove the little ground wire from the coil and try to start the engine. If it fires and runs ok, you have a grounding issue somewhere and need to follow the wires around to see if anything that shouldn't be touching metal, is.
If it runs that long, you may have a bad oil pressure switch, loose connection, or fuel pump. You didn't indicate whether the time was under laod or not
no 14vac coming from generator to control board.--cause can be regulator board on end of generator---dirty brushes or worn out brushes==b1 and b2 winding open that outputs the 14vac--my problem was blown regulator board
Check the oil pressure switch, and oil level first. Then check rotor brushes and rotor slip rings may need polishing. If the problem is still there check stator and rotor windings
Are you running the gen and plugging in the RV at the same time? I assume it is wired right and you have a transfer switch? Are you saying the voltage is fine when the RV isn't plugged in?
