That would take a repair center to decide, but I would go with a burnt out water heating coil in the water reservoir.

Mr coffee problems

You didn't indicate a specific model. So, I'm going to assume yours is relatively the same as my JWX27.

Let me start by clarifying what the red light indicates.

A solid red light indicates the cleaning cycle is in progress. A blinking red light indicates the coffeemaker is off, but due to be cleaned. When the coffeemaker is due to be cleaned, the red light will continue to blink while the coffeemaker is off until the cleaning cycle has been completed fully. The entire cleaning process takes about an hour and a half. And, it is not intuitive. So, here are my instructions.

With the coffeemaker off (with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Don't short the amount. You'll need four cups to complete the cycle. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). The cleaning cycle now begins. It should take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete. Don't be concerned about the 30-minute long pause during the cycle when nothing happens. This is intentional and part of the cycle.

After the cleaning cycle has completed, get rid of the vinegar. Rinse out the strainer basket and the coffee pot. Run a full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle (with the pot and basket in place, of course). Then, dump the water, rinse the pot and basket again, and run another full pot of clean water thru a regular brew cycle. Dump that water too. And, you're done!

I presume you are requesting instructions for cleaning this coffeemaker...

With the coffeemaker off (either a red blinking light or no light on), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). The cleaning cycle now begins. Cant get the cleaning cycle to end dont know how to get it off

If the red light is still blinking, then the cleaning cycle has not yet been completed. The cleaning cycle is not intuitive. So, here are my instructions.

With the coffeemaker off (with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Don't short the amount. You'll need four cups to complete the cycle. Model # jwx23 mr coffee cleaning instructions

I couldn't find any model JWX23. So, since your question (as much as it is) is categorized under model JWX27, I'm going to presume you need the cleaning instructions for model JWX27.

With the coffeemaker off (with no lights on or with the red light blinking), pour four cups of pure white vinegar (no water added) into the reservoir. Don't short the amount. You'll need four cups to complete the cycle. Remove any filters, but leave the strainer basket in place. Tap the "select" button three times until the red light is on (and stays on, not blinking). We poured the amount of water needed to make the amount of coffee desired but 30 minutes later no coffee was made. Does the bottom "warmer" button need to be on or does the maker just need to be...

The tank inside holds about 2 and a hlalf pots of water. Once the tank is full, whatever you pour in will come out. The unit has to be plugged in to make coffee. Leave a pot under the brew funnel and pour a pot of water in. If nothing comes out within a minute, pour another pot of water in. Still if nothing comes out do it again. This time for sure water will come out. It will take avout 10 minutes to get hot enough the first time it is full to make coffee. If you have a thermometer, the water should be about 190 degrees F to make coffee correctly.

My kenmore 12 - cup coffeemaker, model # 80666 is beeping every few minutes. I hit the brew button but nothing happens

In the manual that came with the coffee maker, the beeping is the freshness alert. When coffee is finished brewing it beeps 5 times. Every 15 minutes it beeps to let you know your coffee is 15 minutes less fresh! I just purchased this coffee maker and was looking on here how to dis-assemble the beeper. Whomever came up with the "freshness beeper" on a coffee pot needs a new job! Usually when I make coffee the whole house is asleep, now the beeping is waking everyone up! Very frustrated with this coffee pot!
